Revlon Illuminance Skin Caring Foundation Medium Sand

I'm cool-toned and fall somewhere between Light Ivory and Cool Beige, so I bought both shades and have been mixing them on the back of my hand to achieve the perfect match. Applying is super easy with a beauty blender sponge. The foundation has a very dewy finish, so I set it with a translucent powder to reduce some of the oiliness (since my skin is typically more oily). I was a bit skeptical at first as I thought the colour was going to be a shade too dark, however it actually matched perfectly. This foundation goes on quite sheer, however I let it sit for a minute or two and then went in with a second layer. It built up nicely to a light medium coverage while still feeling quite weightless on the skin which I like. It is very much a dewy foundation which I don’t mind as I set all foundations in with setting powder anyway. I have worn it all day while at work and it has only started rubbing off around the top of my nose and also where my glasses sit so it has performed quite well I think. Wow. I've never used such an amazing foundation before. It's so hydrating on my dry and patchy rough skin! It doesn't draw attention to the imperfections on my skin, and doesn't look cakey because it's so hydrating and smooth. I love that this isn't just your run of the mill foundation. It really is so unique. The colour range is very broad and inclusive also. I also tried mixing the foundation with my daily moisturiser for less coverage, and I just love this. It leaves the skin with such a natural finish. I liked it so much that I made sure to wear it multiple times in multiple different ways before submitting my review. Looks beautiful at first

This is an odd foundation product. I used it several times and finally decided today that I just don’t really like it. Looks lighter on skin than it looks in the bottle, by a couple of shades. Decent coverage with foundation brush, very sheer coverage with finger application. Extremely dewy to the point of being wet-looking, cannot wear without setting powder. Looks lovely on initial application, feels weightless on the skin. Smells like paint for sure, I got past that. Slides around the face over the course of the day, bunches up on sides of the nose where glasses sit, polka dot pores by the end of the day, patchy coverage, migrates into all my fine lines (I’m 50), looks terrible under eyes, and strangely it starts becoming dry and flaky by end of day as well which ... MoreThis is an odd foundation product. I absolutely love the Illuminance foundation. I have been searching for a foundation that does not make my skin look dull and matte. I am 60 years old and I have good skin, so I don’t need a lot of coverage. I’m very fair, so I typically have difficulty finding a drugstore brand that will match my complexion. I bought number 109 and I am absolutely obsessed. It’s a perfect match and the perfect coverage. It left me with the very healthy glow that I like my skin to have. I have always felt like there is no point to having really healthy skin if your foundation just covers it up and mattes it it down. I usually use Kosas, which is great, but nearly twice the price. I waited a while to post a review until I was sure about this product. But I finally found a foundation that blurs, rather than accentuates my fine lines/wrinkles!I am 46 with normal to dry skin. I played around with application methods for this foundation, and here is what I discovered: this needs to be applied lightly with the fingers. I put a bit of foundation down on the face and lightly tap it out with 3-4 fingers, making sure not to press too hard. If I need to finish lightly with a sponge I will, but I have rarely had to do that. This stuff is light, but gives a surprising amount of coverage and smooth finish when applied this way! Then I go over my face very lightly with a loose translucent powder in a large brush. Then setting spray. It stays.
