Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush, Purple

First of all I have 3A/3B curls (i included a pic.) I watched a LOT of reviews on YouTube for this product before i committed to buying it because that's always smart to do when you dont want to waste money. But omg my results came out better than all the reviews i saw with the girls that had similar hair to mine! The trick is to keep rolling it a few times before you let the strand go... I was able to straighten my hair in 45mins on my first time & i could probably do it in less time next time because now i know how to use it. The trick to that is to hold it at the roots for a few seconds.After a strand is straight & completely dry ill switch it to cool & pass it thru another time. If you want your ends straight & not flipped you'll need a flat iron but i prefer them flipped anyways. Only minor cons i found is that its easy to burn your hands by accidentally touching the blower. Also your wrist/hands will get tired & be a little sore. Still worth it tho lol. Oh ive also somehow manage to turn the switch accidentally a few times while using it. My hair is amazingly soft and super shiny. The biggest pro for me is that itll only take me 10mins to refreshen my hair every day after that first day! Best styling product ever!

My hair was stretched smooth at the roots from air drying in a tight wrap but pretty curly/wavy at the ends.Normally if I attempted to use a blow dryer and round brush on my naturally air dried hair, I would expect to get considerable frizz, denting, and strange lumpy/rigid bits. I cant even use a flat iron on my air-dried hair for the same reasons. It is really stubborn unless styled from wet.I picked a nice fat chunk of dry hair, because I didnt come to play. I applied the Revlon dryer, and in seconds, the strand went from poofy to sleek. I felt a strange sort of veneration after this. I pulled out my phone to time myself. I still expected it would take me 20-30 minutes to get my entire head done, and that I might struggle with smoothing out the more unruly bits.This is the honest to God truth. It took less than ten minutes.I stood petting my sleek hair, mouth agape, for another ten minutes, just to run out the timer, you.

PROS: It is exactly as advertised and ideal for the medium-length, lazy hair styler like me. I always loved the salon round brush + hairdryer blow out look, but could never get the hang of doing it to myself. This items fixes the convoluted acrobatics one would usually have to pull. I love that the tip is cool enough to hold so that I use both hands to roll and pull the brush down and it is light enough that, even after doing my whole head in three layers, 4 sections each, my arms aren't tired! CONS: there is a huge risk of damaging your hair if you're not careful because it gets seriously hot. SUGGESTIONS: do NOT use the heat options at all if you have super, super fine, delicate hair. No more frizziness, just all smooth. What I found best was to part my hair horizontally, blow dry the bottom half, then split the front chunks from the top half, and did those chunks last. These last front piece chunks I always do by going straight down with the blow drier, which gave me more volume when I tilted my head up again. And my hair ended up turning out silkier and straighter just after the 10 minute blow dry with this hot tool than the blow dry with the regular blow drier and straightener which took at least 30 minutes. Thank Revlon and God for this product.

But it also seems like something about these brushes is tough to design mechanically, because there’s always an issue with function. Some things are legit and some things are just all hype. I desperately wanted this dryer for Revlon for so long and boy was I dissapointed when I finally got it. I will say that it does wonders to smooth out your hair and adds a glorious volume to mine and does create a salonesque look. However.... The downsides far out weigh the benefits of using this tool for me. I use this once or twice every 6 months because I feel like it causes a lot of damage. It didn't cut my drying time down at all, my roots were still wet, and it's incredibly heavy. I'm glad I bought this on a Black Friday deal and not paid full price.

Love it but be careful

Love love love this dryer. BUT I should have listened to other reviewers. I used this every day for 6 months. Amazing blowouts didn't need a straightener or curling iron so I figured the dryer heat was ok since not using the other products. My hair started to get really dry and damaged after about 5 months but I didn't realize it was the dryer. I thought it was just because it was a cold winter. I used the low setting and waited till hair was half dry. Beautiful blowouts and curls.But now dry hair and tons of damage. I think I will have to skip my highlights to let it recover. If you have resilient hair it's an amazing dryer. I'm 60 and blonde fine highlighted hair. It took 6 months for damage to appear. My own mistake I guess

I bought this because of the great reviews. I have a Dyson but don't always wanna break put the round brush and attachments so I thought this would be a good backup. I try not to use too much heat on my hair and push my highlight appts to 10-12 weeks apart to lower chances of damage. Last 2 hair appts I have complained of more breakage and it feeling very dry. Hair stylist thought maybe I got too much sun this summer and did a treatment. Hair felt good after that. I broke out this tool about a week ago and quickly blew out my hair. I noticed alot of hair in the bristles. I looked in mirror and saw my hair had broken off at my hairline around my face. This tool feels like it gets too hot so I use on low setting, I use salon quality hair products and a heat protectant ... MoreI bought this because of the great reviews.
