First of all I have 3A/3B curls (i included a pic.) I watched a LOT of reviews on YouTube for this product before i committed to buying it because that's always smart to do when you dont want to waste money. But omg my results came out better than all the reviews i saw with the girls that had similar hair to mine! The trick is to keep rolling it a few times before you let the strand go... The trick to that is to hold it at the roots for a few seconds.After a strand is straight & completely dry ill switch it to cool & pass it thru another time. If you want your ends straight & not flipped you'll need a flat iron but i prefer them flipped anyways. Only minor cons i found is that its easy to burn your hands by accidentally touching the blower. Also your wrist/hands will get tired & be a little sore. Still worth it tho lol. Oh ive also somehow manage to turn the switch accidentally a few times while using it. My hair is amazingly soft and super shiny. The biggest pro for me is that itll only take me 10mins to refreshen my hair every day after that first day! Best styling product ever!

I still expected it would take me 20-30 minutes to get my entire head done, and that I might struggle with smoothing out the more unruly bits.This is the honest to God truth. These last front piece chunks I always do by going straight down with the blow drier, which gave me more volume when I tilted my head up again. And my hair ended up turning out silkier and straighter just after the 10 minute blow dry with this hot tool than the blow dry with the regular blow drier and straightener which took at least 30 minutes. Thank Revlon and God for this product.

It's not a problem for me to look at the settings, just as I would any hair device. And, I love the cool setting which has a good, high air flow and I find it's good as a final drying/volumizing step. It also cools the device down so it can be packed safely. That's important because on the high setting, it does get hot. All said, I'm so glad I purchased my Revlon. At any price, it's absolutely unbeatable.

The Revlon One-step volumizer blower brush worked great on my long hair. It cut the time down getting ready and my hair was smoother and had more body. I loved the look. I cut my hair to make the donation the end of March and was pleased to see that it did as good a job on my short hair. I liked it so much I bought one for my daughter-in-law for her birthday. I regularly clean the hair out of it, just like I do my normal brushes. It was easy to use and maintain. Today, out of the blue, it started smoking. Within 10 minutes of emailing it to them, I received a confirmation that they would ship me a new product at no charge. That is impressive that they stood behind their product, especially since so many purchases try to get you to buy protection plans. I don't think we should have to pay extra just in case the product we buy fails. Neither did Revlon/Helen of Troy. I'm looking forward to the new hot air brush arriving as I really did like it. Heavy and Awkward

Type 4 naturals, this one is for you ...I have dense curls that are bra-strap length when straightened. I tend to lightly blow dry my hair in the winter or it takes days to dry on its own. I also own the Revlon flat brush that blow dries as well. I decided to purchase this volumizer after seeing a few YouTube videos and seeing positive results. I also hoped for better drying time since this has air all the way around it. My flatbrush blow dryer by Revlon only has air coming out of the top. I thought the volumizer would cut down on time. None of the videos mentioned how heavy or bulky this item is. With my long thick hair, my arms were so tired only halfway through my head, that I had to stop and take a break. Also, I hate that they call the color "mint." Mint, to me, implies more of a greenish hue, but this one is blue. Nitpicky, but I have a mint hair dryer and bathroom, so I like to try and match the colors.It is 100% worth a try. It may not work for every hair type, but for my coarse and porous hair it worked a treat.

Now this product is very light weight can’t see it tiring you out I blew out my whole head and my arm didn’t hurt that’s great. The barrel of brush is round not oval shape like the others and has like plastic flexi bristles and holes in between to allow air to pass through , the cable swivels which is easy for turning but it isn’t super long if you don’t have outlet in bathroom , so you may need an extension or need to work else where. A cool feature is the top cap comes off to help easier remove the hair at the end( the cap of the part you will hold while rotating ) The barrel honestly just looks like black metal to me not coated.Next, using it is pretty cool and also easy to get used to a little learning curve and working in smaller sections to be more precise is good for beginners, I used it on damp hair that way you don’t burn your hair and DONT FORGET A HEAT PROTECTOR GLOVE . This you will need because high gets hot fast but I didn’t feel it on my hands with my glove. I used it mainly on low. To turn on the base has setting and you turn it to the one you want. A little hard to switch while using so you will have to stop each time .Temp control- Cool isn’t really cool it is cooler air then low but not cold. It’s okay if maybe you want to cool down the dryer before putting it away. I used it after each section to seal styleLow is great temp and Is great to put against your scalp and it won’t burn. And does take a bit longer than high ofcourse to straighten the curls. EVEN ON LOW IT GETS THE ROOTS.High is so hot and blows out hot air fast so work quickly you could maybe use it on your roots and then low for the rest .Touching it after you have turned it off is not going to burn really just give it a few seconds to dissapate mad it won’t burn your counters on account of the bristles.Now what I think , I have never use anything like this nor blown my hair before and this made it SO EASY made me believe in my self ! Now let’s be realistic , it’s a BARREL blow dryer it will not be able to straighten the ends it will curl up but the hair will not be wet and if you pass a flat iron over after you’ll get the straight look. YES it straightens good enough to flat iron after.Since your using a brush , brush your hair good first apply the heat protector and then brush it through then pick up section wrap a bit over the blow dryer and your good. Start low ,if your hair is thick use high. I like the ease of use the weight and it took me about 1:30 minutes I think but it’s my first time it was the maneuvering you have to get used to.ALSO I would remove any hairs from the barrel if I saw any so you don’t get accidental burning hair.Overall it didn’t disappoint me in the least let’s just say I’m hair styling impaired and I did great .

I was surprised that with just one slow pass over a 2-inch section on the high heat setting, my waves and frizz smoothed right out - it wasn’t stick-straight like with a flatiron, but smooth enough and still leaving some volume that the flatiron often does not. My hair still felt soft (not fried) afterward. I’m sure I’ll get faster with more practice, but it was super easy to get my whole head done within minutes (maybe 10-12 sections each taking 10-15 seconds).A few cons: it is still a blow dryer, so with the quick do-over I did notice some wave coming back in within a few minutes as my hair cooled down - no frizz though! Maybe I’ll get better at using it over time, but right now I imagine I’ll have to go over some sections with a flatiron if I want a perfectly done look. The other somewhat significant design flaw is the power switch - it’s a little sliding thing along the butt of the handle, not a button or slider that’s easily reachable with a thumb or finger of the same hand while holding, so it’s not the easiest to manipulate especially if you’re looking to turn it off between sections. This is also important because at least on the high setting, it does get really hot, and I did feel a little oiliness escape at my roots since I styled on dry hair.All in all, though, this is a fantastic product for lazy-but-busy and frizzy people like me. If you’re thinking about getting this, just do it!
