I am African American, with a 3c curl pattern. I originally started off with the bed head brush and then I moved on to the Revlon plus, which is awesome by the way, but I saw that there was a smaller unit and the price was great so I thought I’d check it out. This one is perfect for someone that has short hair. I personally am growing out a pixie. Comparisons: BedHead was great, but too big for my hair. I have a shoulder-length bob (a bit shorter than shoulder length) and was looking for a brush dryer that worked better for "shorter" hair. I'm usually suspicious of these kinds of products but this thing really does work very well. I love that it does it all in one, no more awkwardly holding my hairbrush in one hand and the blow dryer in the other hand. Now I can use one hand to position it and then it does it all for you. I also like that it has a hot/cold setting, the cold setting does lower the temperature quite a bit which I appreciate since sometimes the hot setting feels like too much. Super happy with this purchase, it styles and drys nicely!

I got this because I wanted something to boost my roots while drying at the same time. I also got it so I could put soft curls in my hair. This product is well made and very sturdy. It works on my hair wonderfully and I have thick hair. I do have to use smaller peace's to get it to dry quicker but that is ok. It is a little loud when using it but it's no worse than a regular hair dryer. The noise is to be expected because it is a hair dryer. It does get real hot but that is ok because so does a regular hair dryer, and the heat makes me feel like it drys my hair better. I do like that it is simple with the heat temperature. I've had the full size revlon round hair dryer for a couple years and absolutely love it I decided to try this product on my dry hair to lift my roots to give it body and freshen the roots on non wash days! It works so great for that! I also think it would work great to round dry short hair since the full size one is so big! My son also uses this every day to flip his bangs up but would be great to curl bangs under if you have bangs! I have 3b/c frizzy, fine curls. I'm 35 and I have been suffering with hair that I hate my entire life... I've been through numerous flat irons, curling irons, brushes... nothing would work but a flat iron with high temperature, hours of my life, tons of damage, and a horrible burned hair smell. My husband says my hair looks like a wig when I flat iron it. The Dyson Airwrap doesn't do anything because it doesn't get hot enough, it looks like curled frizz. Gross. A cool feature is the top cap comes off to help easier remove the hair at the end( the cap of the part you will hold while rotating ) The barrel honestly just looks like black metal to me not coated.Next, using it is pretty cool and also easy to get used to a little learning curve and working in smaller sections to be more precise is good for beginners, I used it on damp hair that way you don’t burn your hair and DONT FORGET A HEAT PROTECTOR GLOVE . This you will need because high gets hot fast but I didn’t feel it on my hands with my glove. I used it mainly on low. To turn on the base has setting and you turn it to the one you want. A little hard to switch while using so you will have to stop each time .Temp control- Cool isn’t really cool it is cooler air then low but not cold. It’s okay if maybe you want to cool down the dryer before putting it away. I used it after each section to seal styleLow is great temp and Is great to put against your scalp and it won’t burn. And does take a bit longer than high ofcourse to straighten the curls. I have super long, thin hair and have always liked how my hair looks blown out, but it always takes a really long time to get the look I want. I’ve had the larger Revlon dry brush in the past but wanted to try out the smaller one after that one died. I absolutely LOVE it and the result - it’s super easy to use, after towel and air drying my hair until it’s slightly damp, I finish it with this tool first on the hot setting and then the cool to finish it. It takes me about ten minutes and my hair has never been shinier and healthier-looking. I never write reviews but I love this thing!
