Revlon PhotoReady Galaxy Dream Holographic Highlighting Palette

This one is a combination of soft shimmers. I love the colors and the versatility of this compact. My skin is medium toned so this palette is very subtle when applied. The package is a little hard to open. There is a mirror and four shades ranging from highlighting shimmer to brow and cheek contour. This is not a contour kit so if you are looking for deep definition this is the not the product for you. I like a natural looking face so it is perfect for me. You have to peel back the label to see instructions as to how to get the best use of the colors. I tried it as per the instructions and then I picked the things I liked and used them. Revlon has Sunlit Dream highlighting palette was an amazing experience. I like how they include 4 different highlights for different skintones. Plus I do think its smart because I personally like using different shades of highlighter for different parts of my face. In indoor lighting it gave me a pretty glow, that was natural, then stepped outside and saw that it became more noticeable then when I was inside. It became more blinding and noticeable. At first when touching the actual product they seemed chalkey, but once swatched and put on the cheeks with a brush I no longer saw the chalky aspect in the product. If anyone is looking for an extra blinding effect, wet your brush with setting spray and it will become more blinding and intense. I would recommend too a friend because the price, product and packaging were great for a drugstore palette and I can see myself continuing too use it.

I am really liking this sunlight dream Revlon photoready highlighting palette. It feels and looks like a luxury palette, especially with the weight and the awesome sized mirror. The formula is stiff and I love that, because I know that it won't break apart easily and auth that being said they aren't powdery. I wish the colors had names verses numbers, but its no biggie. Also, there should have been just a little bit more diversity between shade 1&2 because they are very similar, even though #2 has more of a peachy undertone than #1. I was amazed by the quality of this drugstore highlighter palette. The powders were soft and pigmented, especially the green and blue shades. The pink and purple were a bit more subtle but still beautiful. They work very well as a highlighter and eyeshadow for an ethereal, otherworldly look. The soft powder finish allows it to look natural (not a blinding highlight) on the skin. Love it! Found it at Dollarama for $4 in Canada. Compared to e.l.f baked highlighters, I like these a lot more as they feel softer and more pigmented!

A Makeup Lover's Dream!

I recently tried Revlon PhotoReady Highlighting Palette, Galaxy Dream and had so much fun "playing" with it! I love makeup, and this is a makeup lover's dream! It contains four different shades of subtle colors that can be used to highlight the different areas of your face. I like to apply it with a blush brush. It is silky sheer, goes on very smoothly, and gives you a very flawless, soft look. I applied it on top of my regular makeup to give myself that "candle light glow." I mainly use it along the angles and planes of my face...the temples, my forehead, under my eyebrows, the corners of my eyes, under and over my cheekbones, on the apples of my cheek, and on my chin. Barely any color payoff

These highlighters were something i was really excited about. Unfortunately they left a lot to be desired. I have the Anastasia Beverly hills moonchild palette which has extremely similar shades of highlighter as this palette does. I would imagine some people would think it would be a great dupe, if you're wanting to try it for that reason, don't. Another one that would be comparable is the kat von d alchemists palette, again, not a good shoe. The pigment and quality is highly lacking in this palette as you can see by the swatches. They may look ok, but that is literally 3 times I swirled my finger in the pan and built it up on my arm to get the results it shows. The green is the most highly pigmented shade, and while it's not a super wearable shade for everyday makeup, you can use it for inner corner highlight on the eyes, a lip topper for an awesome effect, or on top of your eyeshadows. I recommend if you do end up getting this, to use some sort of a tacky base underneath to get as much color payoff as you can.

I received the Revlon Photoready Highlighting Palette, Galaxy Dream for free for my participation in the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. The item is a makeup compact that comes in a flip open package with a mirror. Inside of the compact is four different shades of hologram tinted powders, but no makeup brush to apply it, that is why I only gave four stars. I think at this price point there should have been a brush, even a lower quality one. The quality of the makeup is not too bad though, I did not wear it for an extremely long period of time, nor is it hot right now where I live. So I can not give advice how it will hold up to long hours and/or sweating. I am kind of new to makeup, experimenting if you will.
