Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow - 517 Eclectic

The thing about Revlon is that it is quite expensive in Canadian drugstores and the sales aren't that great compared to other drugstore brands like Maybelline. As much as i would like to support them, the price needs to match the product. Some Revlon things are worth the money while some just really Mehh. These eyeshadow palettes are fun and very travel friendly for a simple look. I would never pay full price for these here unfortunately because while they satisfy my basic needs on the go, i just don't want to pay that 20$ after tax for this. The pigmentation is decent and enough for my daily needs. It is great for those who like a put together but not overly "evening" look. With these palettes i would suggest pick the colour scheme that you truly feel comfortable wearing. The quality of the colour payoff isn't completely universal among the different palettes so that's something to keep in mind.

I love these eyeshadows! I recently finished college and I am on a tight budget. These are so nice and easy to use (and affordable)! For the office, I love #501 . It's a nice, neutral palette for everyday wear. If you're looking for a solid matte eyeshadow palette, these probably aren't for you (I find that most of these are shimmery) but I really like that about these. Overall, they're affordable, blend well, have minimal to no fallout, and are budget-friendly. I will be purchasing more of these soon!. I actually use the brown to fill in my brows. There are 2 double-tipped sponge applicators. The shadow stays on very well even when I dont use cream primer. I always carry one in my purse, gym bag, travel kit and car.

I find that the purple hues really bring out the green in my hazel eyes and have such a nice pop of color and shimmer. The cream formula is hands-down my favorite, though I know there’s a lot of love for the recently discontinued Glass Shine formula. I’ve had dozens of shades over the years, and it is in league with much more expensive brands in my experience. Some of my favorite things: It’s not drying on my lips- it’s a lovely true cream formula, in the same vein as MAC amplified. It is NOT transfer proof, but with a lip liner, I get a full work day, depending on the color. It had good pigmentation but I do remember the matte shades being a little powdery, so I recommend using an eye primer beforehand. The texture was silky soft however. The packaging is very lightweight too, therefore perfect for using on the go or keeping in the makeup bag. Revlon is still known for their innovative launches. I think it’s still available at discount retailers so you may be able to find it online. As you can see I love my Revlon PhotoReady Eye Contour Kit. I use this all the time and have worn out the light colors, lol. The palate is very blendable and helps many people learn the way to apply shadows and different style make ups. I’ve never had any of the colors come out of the palate but I have been able to add colors when I’ve used them up. My favorite is the Impressionist palate the colors are very light pinks to light browns. Definitely worth the money. Picked this one up at Walgreens for under $10.00.
