Revlon PhotoReady Primer & Shadow 540 Romanticism

Shadow color:“505-impressionist”- the eyeshadow is lovely. I really like that it is laid out in the palette how you apply it to your eye (for those of us that are totally makeup challenged. Haha) The only negative for me is that the eyeshadow is all shimmery and glittery. I prefer a matte eyeshadow but the glittering/shimmer in the main colors is not super intense so i still feel comfortable wearing this as day to day make up. I think the product is great value and it seems to wear well through the day. Awesome addition to my daily makeup routine!

For a long time I didn’t have the money for any high end products and I lived on mini compacts like this. These are perfectly workable. They’re very pigmented and blend-able. They are a little bit powdery and there is a bit of fallout and kick up, but it’s definitely manageable. A great product for the price. Also, they have an excellent shade range, and the compacts provide you with several shades that work together to create a complete eye look as though you has used a high end palette. It teaches people how to use several shades to create a look in the first place. The price point is very fair for the quality level as well. Would highly recommend and repurchase.

I used this when I first started using eye shadow in High School, so around 2007, so it's been awhile. Since then, I have moved onto bigger and better things and learned a lot. I used this with my eye shadow primer so I dont know if there would have been a noticeable difference with a naked lid. I think one of the things I loved most about this, beside the color, is the fact that there is a how to chart on the back. I was never taught how to apply makeup. So I appreciate Revlon helping me by putting this picture on the package to ensure I did not look like Mimi from Drew Carey (instead of blue it would have been gold/bronze) I look forward to experimenting with other colors in this line. I recommend this hands down and not just for beginners like myself. I'm sure even the most experienced make up artist can appreciate this eye shadow.

You have to use a thumbnail to push up the lid. Also it doesn't have a mirror, if that matters to you? There are also two small sponges included in the interior section, for the various colors. Love the colors. They’re the exact same as shown on the website. I have heavily hooded eyes, and if the eyeshadow on the lid is patted on with a brush, no creasing whatsoever! I’ve been doing makeup professionally for 20 years and this is one of my favorite lines!

Easy to Use Eyeshadow Kits

I love these eyeshadows! I recently finished college and I am on a tight budget. These are so nice and easy to use (and affordable)! For the office, I love #505 "Impressionist." It's a nice, neutral palette for everyday wear. For date night, I love using #520 "Watercolors." I find that the purple hues really bring out the green in my hazel eyes and have such a nice pop of color and shimmer. If you're looking for a solid matte eyeshadow palette, these probably aren't for you (I find that most of these are shimmery) but I really like that about these. Overall, they're affordable, blend well, have minimal to no fallout, and are budget-friendly. I will be purchasing more of these soon!

Getting ready for a photoshoot and was at the store looking for colors that will make my eyes really pop. I bought the kit containing the deep purple shadow. It includes easy-to-understand step-by-step instructions that gives you two options depending on whether your eye is hooded or if you have deep set eyes. It includes photos with a little difference. To be honest, I wasn't sure, so I chose deep set. For step 3, I just put a few dots of color on the outside corner and literally flicked the brush upward a few times. Haven't used the extra color (Step 5) yet. And then I added a step by blending my eyelid/brow with a clean brush. Added more white to the inside corner areas to highlight more. I paired with with Revlon Candid antioxidant concealer in a small tube for under the eyes (works great, doesn't take much, just rub it in) and Revlon blush. There's no caking, no flaking on my skin and I had it on the rest of the day. And for good measure, my skin is brown, a few shades darker than Halle Berry. The purple is just enough to show up in photos so you won't be looking like a clown that escaped the circus. It's perfect!Normally, we spend so much money buying cosmetics and we don't really know if they will work. I am extremely satisfied with this one. I've been looking for a combo to use for bronze/gold so I can look like a goddess and am glad Revlon makes this in other color combinations that will give me that effect.
