Revolution Mattify Matte & Fix Primer 28ml

* COULD NOT FIND THE CORRECT TAG* this is the freeze fave bomb primer by XXREVOLUTION. Its very pricey and retails at £15. But I personally think its worth the money because the packaging is absolutely unreal, it has a wet look to it. And the consistency to the actual primer itself it's like a think yellow gel. It's smells lovely. Once applied it feels very sticky to beggin with but after a min it soaks right into your skin giving you a slight tightening feeling but leave your skin feels soft for whatever comes next. I use this before my usual primer because its a hydrating primer. Highly reccomend.

I was on Ulta spending my coins. I was going to purchase this other primer, but I saw this! There were only a few reviews they were all great. So, I decided to purchase it. Plus! Who can beat a great price, not me lol. I was super stoked to receive it. As soon as my ULTA box came I ripped it open. I did a swatch of it first on my hand it covered everything. I was SHOOOK! It remind me of the benefit primer! Has the same soft matte feeling. Let me tell you.. I found my new favorite primer! It covered my large pores everything. You can even wear it alone. It didn’t go on cakey didn’t cling to my dry patches. I finished my look with setting spray my foundation didn’t run. It actually lasts all day. I HIGHLY recommend this!

I recently saw this video on tiktok about a new method to apply makeup. I use some translucent powder, then spray with a setting spray, primer and then foundation. So I hadn't used primer in awhile, I had tried the urban decay mattify primer and I was just not thrilled. My makeup never seemed to blend in properly when that was on my face.This however everything goes on. After I use this primer and my foundation I do take it a step further by applying powder and spray again. My makeup doesn't move and I love it. I work outside a lot so I am interested to see how my face holds up once I'm out in the heat and humidity of Arkansas. But, this is a great priced item that does the job.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PRIMER

I will start by saying that I have tried every product to try to control shine and to keep my makeup in place all day. whether it was high end and super costly, or reasonably priced, NOTHING HAS EVER WORKED. primers have made me greasy. primers have made my makeup pill and flake off. primers have made me break out. BUT THEN I FOUND THIS AMAZING LITTLE TUBE AND MY LIFE HAS CHANGED. I was hesitant since silicone makes me greasy. BUT THIS STUFF IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE FOR MY OILY SKIN!!! I apply a small amount and my skin instantly looks airbrushed, matte, but not too matte. my makeup goes on like a dream. the makeup does not pill or flake. AND IT STAYS ON AND FRESH AND OIL FREE ALL DAY. Now my opinion of this obviously is based off of my own experience with it. Mind you everyone's skin is different and reacts differently to products. I have combo skin. My tzone is super oily to the point where I can feel the oil coming out my pores. The rest of my face varies from dry to normal depending on its mood.This worked great on my skin!!! I had no reactions to it. No breakouts or redness. It minimized my pores, smoothed my skin and definitely kept me from being a grease ball. It helped extend my makeup. It felt good on the skin.Now I suggest you shake before using. I did notice oil coming from it but a little shake makes the oil go away. Bought this a few weeks ago. Read reviews and needed a primer to tide me over until pay day, so at £6 I thought I would give it a try. As I had read reviews I knew to give the tube a really good shake before using. Squeezed the product out after shaking it. It seemed quite watery so I wasn't entirely convinced that this was going to do anything much. I actually squeezed more product out because I had a feeling it was going to take quite a bit of product to cover my face. Wrong!!! While it does seem watery a little goes a long way. Takes moments to apply. I leave it a few minutes before applying foundation. Makes my skin feel fab. Soft and even. Doesn't oxides. Foundation goes on smooth and even. My skin stays matte all day. Not impressed..

I had high expectations for this primer, however, it left me disappointed. After applying it on my t-zone, it mattified the area and blurred my pores but only temporarily. After 3 hours my oils began to seep through and my pores became more visible, I ended up looking pretty greasy by the end of the day. 2 stars for being a cruelty-free brand though!

Oily and slick

This prime did very similar to revolution’s conceal primer in the glass bottle. It is not really a ‘gel’, it comes out like a slick silicone primer, at first my makeup looked good but quickly it got cakey, slippery and oily using this primer! I have oily skin so always go for a matte primer but this made my skin look wet by 5 hours of wear! Please avoid if you have oily skin.

We have to remember everyones skin is different

I use a pinn drop size on chin, cheeks, & forehead, then rub it into pores good as I spread outwards. I dont use enough to spread to dry areas like jawline or edges of forehead. You really dont need much, after I'm done my skin *almost* feels like theres nothing on it, but does feel smooth. Then makeup as usual & it helps my pores be less viable & I dont produce oil as much. Not everyones skin is the same, but I would recommend a try for anyone that has tried "mattifying" primers from other brands that didnt work, as was the case for me. Remember you dont need a lot all over your face, using sparingly has helped me.
