Rhino-Rack 62100 Pioneer 6 Platform (1500mm x 1240mm)
Rhino-Rack 62100 Pioneer Platform L 1500mm x W 1240mm That's not a platform. THIS is a platform. You can't ignore or deny the impact that Rhino-Rack have made on the 4WD and commercial world with their range of Pioneer platforms. They have quickly become a staple for the serious off roader, camper, outdoor adventurer and tradie. With great features, innovations and quality, their reputation is very well deserved. They are made from a new aluminium alloy which is now 20% lighter than the 5 series while being even stronger, and they wont corrode, even after years of abuse thanks to the new tougher coatings and more durable alloy. And don't worry if you have existing Rhino platform accessories, the new 6 series fits all previous accessories so there's still a myriad of options available, from jerry can holders to bike carriers so they're still super versatile. With the 6 series Rhino have put a huge amount of work into improving aerodynamics, which is visibly apparent in the new design and has been wind tunnel tested and honed to reduce drag by 60% over the 5 series, this is a huge improvement in our eyes, and will translate to better fuel economy and less wind noise. They also feature removable wind fairing inserts that further reduce drag. They have also done away with channel apertures so that you can use the full length of all channels for mounting accessories using their Zwifloc channel nuts. The new Pioneer now has east-west orientated mounting channels too, so together with the elimination of apertures the new 6 series provides 25% more useable channels over the 5 series. All extrusions have integrated wiring capabilities giving you endless options for mounting your led lights or antennas.

Great quality and strong! The measuring guides on the bottom made installation a breeze. Fitted with zero problems.

Great improvements of the Series 6 of the Pioneer Roof Rack! The installation is much easier as the measurements are printed on the underside of the bars which makes the adjustments a piece of cake! Also the improved access to the mounting rails makes it much easier to install accessories whne you don't have the zwifloc handy.Quality is great as with all of the rhino gear - but that's what you expect of a premium product.

The Pioneer 6 is a solid improvement from the 5 with a marked reduction in noise. They have put in a genuine effort to reduce the noise as much as possible with channel covers and fairings built into the platform. That said, the front of the platform does seem a little more flexible than the 5 as I can visibly flex the front overhang with my hand. My main frustration is the removal of the channel openings to allow conventional nuts to go into the channels. Rhino rack claims this to be an improvement to increase the usable area, but to me it seems like a shameless money grab forcing loyal customers with existing accessories to buy the new Zwifloc nuts. Easier access to the corner joints means using conventional nuts is possible on the outer panels. Overall, happy ... Required a quality roof rack for family holiday, after many hours searching second hand, Repco’s sales shift my decision and I purchased a new roof rack which was easy to fit. Onlynegative was having to drill holes in the side for the legs! This could be improved and include a locking mechanism for security.
Service was pretty average at the Caloundra store, don’t think they care. But the pioneer 6 is amazing, no whistling and looks so good.
Best deals around for auto club members, highly rate auto barn for products like these, they also price match 👍🏼
Rhino tray was damaged on inspection when I got home.
Out of the box it all was very easy to set up, hardest part was finding exact spot to fit to the HSP roller cover on a Ram with Ramboxes. Loved the tensioner tool that came with it.
