Great improvements of the Series 6 of the Pioneer Roof Rack! The installation is much easier as the measurements are printed on the underside of the bars which makes the adjustments a piece of cake! Also the improved access to the mounting rails makes it much easier to install accessories whne you don't have the zwifloc handy.Quality is great as with all of the rhino gear - but that's what you expect of a premium product.

The Pioneer 6 is a solid improvement from the 5 with a marked reduction in noise. They have put in a genuine effort to reduce the noise as much as possible with channel covers and fairings built into the platform. That said, the front of the platform does seem a little more flexible than the 5 as I can visibly flex the front overhang with my hand. My main frustration is the removal of the channel openings to allow conventional nuts to go into the channels. Rhino rack claims this to be an improvement to increase the usable area, but to me it seems like a shameless money grab forcing loyal customers with existing accessories to buy the new Zwifloc nuts. Required a quality roof rack for family holiday, after many hours searching second hand, Repco’s sales shift my decision and I purchased a new roof rack which was easy to fit. Onlynegative was having to drill holes in the side for the legs! This could be improved and include a locking mechanism for security.
Service was pretty average at the Caloundra store, don’t think they care. But the pioneer 6 is amazing, no whistling and looks so good.

Rhino tray was damaged on inspection when I got home.
Out of the box it all was very easy to set up, hardest part was finding exact spot to fit to the HSP roller cover on a Ram with Ramboxes. Loved the tensioner tool that came with it.
