The mulch itself is great but discovered a few weeks after laying it out that it was infested with termites, now all my plants pots are full of them. I live in a concrete apartment building and have plants on a balcony so there is no other possible source for termites apart from this mulch that I purchased from Bunnings Virginia in Brisbane.

Purchased and applied today. Pretty happy with the product. All 4 bags were pretty uniformly dark in colour. The chips are a good size so shouldn't break down too quickly.

Mulch was perfect for the garden and plants. Weight of the Hard Wood helped in not being blown by wind which is exactly what was needed. Also great for weed prevention. Awesome.
I bought 6 bags of this product and it looked nothing like the photo on the bag, the first bag I opened was a dark brown and had an aged look, the next bag was almost white, it looked like it had been chipped yesterday, the remaining bags were of various shades in between, the area of garden I used it on looks like a patchwork quilt also the size of the chips were between 3 to 15cm. I wish I had never bought this product.
Some batches have been OK but others seem contain waste material. Had to return 14 bags last week. Contained bits of plastic, wire, painted chipboard, and a barcode label from another product.
I wasn't sure after read reviews but went to have a look, bought some (06/01/2023). No plastics or waste rubbishes,...only a bit of pine bark. Overall I am happy with them, will buy more and hopefully they won't change in the future.
Have used this on my native garden for a while. Long lasting, but seems to be made from building waste (in part). When it rots away, I have concerns about how it affects soil, seems like a slightly nasty-looking white substance, fewer worms and so on than before, so be wary.
The quality in some bags was great and quite poor in others, I bought several bags that were stacked on the same pallet and the difference in quality was stark. This has happened to me on 2 different occasions.
Product entered to be too big pieces and light in colour. Not the best product for my small garden. I’m not saying that the product is faulty just not what I needed. That will teach me to buy online and not seeing it first.
