Ricoh GT-2 Tele Conversion Lens
The GT-2 Tele Conversion lens from Ricoh is designed for use with the GA-2 Lens Adapter and the GR IIIx digital camera. When mounted, the camera automatically detects the GT-2 as a tele conversion lens and extends the focal length to approximately a 75mm equivalent with the camera's crop mode, or to approximately 107mm in the secondary crop mode.

Pros: In the hand the GT-2 is compact and not too heavy; solid enough to give an impression of quality. The front filter size is 62mm which makes it large but not unwieldy when mounted to the GRIIIx using the GA-2. The camera senses when the lens is mounted so there are no settings to change. There are no do's and don'ts in the leaflet in the box but if you try to set the lens to macro with the GT-2 mounted it objects strongly and shuts down. The lens is weighty enough to necessitate a 2-handed grip when in use - not a bad thing, I think. In terms of output, there is a noticeable increase in bokeh between the digital and optical options at equivalent focal lengths. At full stretch, with digital and optical combined it is still impressive but I see a softness creeping ... MorePros: In the hand the GT-2 is compact and not too heavy; solid enough to give an impression of quality. The GT-2 also appears to lose a little contrast overall, especially compared to the "bare" lens at 40mm. Teamed with the GW-4 on the GRIII this becomes a compact and highly usable combination for street and travel.Cons: Not a lot. See good points.

Thus lens surprised me in which it is made out of metal and also made in Japan, unlike the camera which is plastic made in China. Seems like high quality. I like how the 60 mm focal length on a tiny camera. In order to keep the 60mm focal point, I have covered the contacts on the adapter with electrical tape so the camera doesn't read the lens and doesn't crop the sensor to achieve 75mm focal length.
