Used this on multiple trips and never had a drama with it. Solid body to it, however the handheld is plastic. Still not bad quality at all. Very good size and definitely loud enough. Certainly not regretting purchasing this little fella!

Bought this on sale and installed it. The build quality is ok, the hand held mic is very plasticy. The main unit is stirdy. Very easy to install and easy to use. I found there to be quite a bit of interference and cutting in and out, but that may just be user error or wrong ariel installed. Im not a professional. Would of honesty rather bought a uniden.

Would be better if power cable had a plug into the back of the unit rather than hard wired only to assist with mounting etc. Would also prefer mic to be removable purely due to it feeling cheap and nasty, it would be a nice feature to be able to replace it, when it does break. Other then that, it has some nice features, make sure you read through the manual. I am extremely happy with this product and would recommend it for those on a budget.

The product seems to be quite good all though I haven't installed it yet, but not realising that it unfortunately does not come with an antenna.
I've had this unit for a few weeks, it was easy to install in the 4WD and has plenty of features and a very good performer while out on the tracks. The internal speaker is clear and loud and I've had no trouble seeing the bright LCD screen. The only thing i had to do was add a voltage bridge and regulator to wire the unit in as my 4WD has 2 batteries and heavy duty alternator which i think was causing noise in the unit.
Small, low profile and all the necessary features. Only issue I have with the unit is a small and slightly annoying rattle that comes from the hand piece.Other than that it is a great unit.
There are better ones out there but this one is simple and easy to use. 1 downside is that its power connector isnt a plug but a hardwire so if you want to remove for any reason you'll need to unwire it or cut the connector off. Its loud and appears to get good range. My stereo interferes with the squelch randomly and will just stay hissing for a while.
I've had this on a few trips now and I can hardly hear what others in my convoy are saying, they all have Oricom and GME units and can hear each other fine whereas I have to have my volume up full, my vehicle isn't that noisy on the highway and it still can't produce the volume and sound quality needed to clearly hear anything.Only plus about this unit is it's easy to use and it's very small
Speaker sounds terrible. Otherwise transmits clearly and works well. Would recommend an external speaker.
It's a little crackly, but at $130 I expected worse. Perfect for convoy comms, traffic updates and listening to 'Dave' tell us about the size of his 'eggplant' in a forced gravelly voice. Can't wait till that guy gets locked in a home hey.
