Rimmel London Lasting Finish 35 Hour Foundation, Hazelnut 605, Vegan, Hydrating, Full-Coverage

I recieved this foundation for free in exhange for an HONEST review from influenster and Rimmel. I didn’t have much of a expectation for this foundation but i’m glad it’s now part of my make-up collection. I applied using a foundation brush like I normally do with my foundation products. As i was applying i noticed it shown brush strokes so i was going to use my foundation sponge afterwards but as i blended more and it set, the strokes vanished. The foundation stayed tacky longer than I would normally enjoy and i was worried about applying my powder products afterwards like contour, bronzer and blush HOWEVER it suprisingly helped with the blending process? And the powdered products looked more pigmentated as well. It honestly looked like I had used cream products over cream products. The coverage made my skin look so good! I couldnt see any acne or redness underneath either. I wore the foundation for 12+ hours and it still has a good amount of courage. I also didn’t notice any transfer either. It also has hydralic acid and 2% niacinamide which i think helps with the overall look and feel of this product! Not going to lie the scent reminds me a little of paint though? But not offensive. I used the shade Pearl.

If you are looking for a really good quality, lgreat cost foundation that delivers a flawless yet natural looking lightweight finish, with skin care in it then this could be for you. I have always been able to find affordable and inclusive products. I have very pale skin and gone are the days of choosing a foundation two shades too dark for my skin! The bonus of it all is the skincare component, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, SPF25 comes in handy when you’re on a mum in a rush and trying to cut down time on skincare regime. My shade normally is a NARS Stromboli or MAC NC30 and I found 210 Golden Beige the perfect shade.

Gutted - bring back the old formula!!

I used this foundation in true ivory shade for approximately the last 10 years. I loved it because it was great value for money and it worked well on my dry skin. I was left with a dewy lightweight feel and it lasted all day. It was easy and smooth to apply and absorbed well. I was always complimented on my complexion because of the way it adjusted to my skin.I was shocked and utterly dissapinted when I discovered the new bottle I bought was, what felt like, a totally different foundation. It was the totally oposite of everything i loved about it. It did not glide over my skin on application, it feels heavy and weirdly powdery, it really highlights any small patches of dryness on my face. I had to use twice as much. Not the worst foundation but not good

I have been trying to find a cheaper alternative to Estee Lauder Double Wear and this foundation was one of 6 products over 3 brands I trialed alongside 2 different setting powders. I usually always go for the palest shade so chose Rose Ivory and Pearl to try as it isn't clear on the website which is the lightest. Turns out Pearl is the lightest (and even then still has a tinge of orange) and Rose Ivory is totally orange. Fair Porcelain is always out of stock when I checked.I have tried both a loose and a pressed setting powder with this foundation and over the various days it has maybe been an acceptable product on one occasion. It is more difficult than the others I've tried to get into the creases alongside the nose, you really have to press this product in. It was the only foundation that agreed with my combination oily skin and it was the perfect base for layering other products on top and keeping a natural look. However I recently ran out and when I went to buy more I was mildly disappointed to find out they had discontinued the old one and replaced it with this new 35 hour version. I thought nothing more of it and I bought the exact same shade I have been wearing for years. When I put it on I was shocked at how orange it was , I had a little bit left in my old bottle and I even put them against each other and the shade was completely off. My setting powder caked after reapplying and I never had this issue with the old version. Please don’t go fixing something that isn’t broken !

So disappointed in new make up formula

I have been using Rimmel for decades and I am now a pensioner and still wear make up daily. I have bought a new bottle recently ( which I later discovered contained a new formula) and although I thought the shade/colour looked different I purchased it anyway. Have now tried it and cannot believe the difference with the previous make up. It is thick, it is matt on the face, it doesn’t spread easily,and to be perfectly honest, I now look “ made up” and caked in it, I have always liked Rimmel as it is a lightweight make up that was not overpoweringly obvious on the face. A nice feeling and more liquified than the present substance.
