Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus was easy to install (providing you have the electrical box) and setup through the Ring App. The app allows for multiple custom motion zones from within the cameras view. All alerts will begin a recording that can be customized for time of recording. Video is stored on the Ring servers but a monthly/yearly subscription is required once the free trial ends. The lights will activate during dark hours if motion is detected or can be setup on a schedule to come on and go off, as well as manually using the app. I also bought two Floodlight Pro's and feel the Plus, while not as fine a picture is still decent and clear enough to identify people that may be up to no good. Mine is on the side of my garage to monitor the side driveway where it is mounted about 10-12ft off the ground. My wife and I are pleased with the purchase and have not had any issues since installing a few weeks ago.

This is a ridiculous oversight by Ring. You may be able to make it work, but it depends on the height and angle of your eaves. Also the hoods on the lights will be upside-down which can allow water intrusion unless it sits far enough back on the soffit for the lights to be sheltered from rain.- Quality control is lacking. I installed 2 of these during a day trip to visit family in a different state, and wifi on one of them was dead. I spent an hour trying factory resets, power cycling, different options in the app, and nothing worked. Apparently this isn't an uncommon problem. I had to reinstall the original light and now I have to make another trip to try again.

[Rewarded Review] Best purchase ever! Best buy is the best!

Ring will always be my preferred camera security system! I'm so happy I made this purchase. I bought it for my parents who are now alone at home and to keep my self sane, having this camera is super helpful! It has two way audio, night vision, the lights are not too intense so it won't hurt your eyes to look at and still reaches far out. There are so many features on the Ring App that let you change view, motion alerts, and much more. I’ve tried other brands but they aren't cutting it! Would definitely get more of their products to make the whole system. We also purchased the door bell and installed flood light in the front and back of the house and you can see everything with the wide view. It’s nice to be able to see who’s at the door before getting there lol I ... MoreRing will always be my preferred camera security system! I'm so happy I made this purchase. There is much more you can do too! Also please get the protection plans, these are electronics, they aren’t indestructible, eventually wear and tear will happen and Best Buy protection plans will always have you covered! Get ring flood light! You won’t regret it and you’ll feel more at ease knowing that you’re protected!

[Rewarded Review] Died at 13 months
7 August 2024

This camera was amazing, I loved that it has lights and that I can adjust not only how bright they are, but have them on a schedule as well. The colored night vision was also great. There were a few times where cars pulled up at a distance that Were Not picked up. (2-3 known times) one broad daylight, once at night. (More reasonable) HOWEVER; one day it just quit working. Died. This isn’t something that ever gets touched, isn’t in an area weather can affect it much. There’s a 1 year warranty, this died just a couple weeks past that ended. And this isn’t a turn off, turn back on situation, the button to do so won’t light up at all. Screens completely black. Unsure if I’ll pay to have this fixed or switch to another company.

[Rewarded Review] Difficult install due to poor hardware and faulty
24 June 2023

I purchased this camera to increase visibility of subjects recored at night vs the ring stick up camera covering my driveway. I have installed many fixtures, lights, and other hardwired electrical products over the years but this product was particularly painful. The hardware included in the kit that is supposed to fit most electrical boxes indeed does not. The screws included dont even fit the included bracket. This left me searching for new hardware in the midst of a simple 1hr install. Once I located correct hardware and mounted the camera, I noticed another issue with the design itself. The camera attaches directly to a custom base made of plastic. This plastic base only mounts to the bracket attached to the electrical box via one central screw. This wouldn't be an issue of the base weren't made of plastic. Therefore, the weight of the camera and floodlight made the base pull away from the box creating a gap. In summary the issue is with the hardware that doesn't fit the included bracket and the fact the base is made of plastic that flexes away from the mounting surface. It took me serveral hours of messing around with the box and bracket to correct the design flaw. If you are doing a DIY install I would avoid this product. If you are paying an installer with extra hardware and experience then maybe it could be for you.

[Rewarded Review] Looking for a floodlight camera? This is it.
5 May 2024

I’ve tried so many floodlight cameras and this was the only one that exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a camera that was always on, recording clips of any activity that might be suspicious. The siren is loud enough to scare off people that you don’t want on your property. I love the option where you can set the mode to home/away. It also comes in handy where you can contact the police right away. If you’re looking for a camera that protects your valuables, tells you what’s going on in your neighborhood, and records all the time then this is it! Best camera I’ve ever bought so far. No problems. Works really great with my Alexa.

[Rewarded Review] Replace that retro floodlight with this!
25 May 2024

I’ve purchased this product for the back end of the house where we replaced our existing floodlight. Truly can’t believe the difference! The accuracy of the sensor for the camera and light function seems to amaze me! I appreciate the wide viewing angle as well. The floodlights on their own are pretty bright, I like that they have incorporated an option where you can adjust the brightness of the floodlights. Video quality is good, but I personally feel that that’s also dependent on your Wi-Fi. The only downside that I could see if any would be the alarm siren not being as loud as expected, but the truth is, I think anyone would get startled by a random alarm going off if they were conducting some wrongful acts. [Rewarded Review] Ring Floodlight camera
23 December 2024

I couldn’t be happier with the Ring Floodlight Camera. Installation was incredibly simple, even for someone with minimal DIY experience. The step-by-step instructions were clear, and the setup took less than 30 minutes. The video quality is absolutely amazing—crystal-clear both during the day and at night. The motion detection is very responsive, and the two-way audio feature is a great bonus. The floodlights themselves are super bright and provide excellent coverage for my driveway.I also love the convenience of the Ring app, which makes monitoring and customizing settings a breeze. It’s a perfect solution for anyone looking to enhance their home security. Highly recommended!
