When I bought this, I asked two questions. Q1about the level of noise while using it, the rep told me it wasn't that bad but below the average. I don't know how noisy the other brands are but keep in mind if you will use it in the bedroom or any small /medium room. Q2 How often should I empty the water Answer not very often. During this summer in Brisbane, I collected 5 litres of water in 8 hours. In case, of water outage I will use my portable air conditioner for sure. Besides that, it does the job.

We were stuck on a very hot day without our blessed cold machine due to it dying of old age. Unfortunately every place in town had been raided of its supply of air conditioning, so when we finally came across some stock at the Good guys, we were stoked. The salesman gave us a good discount, as the model we enquired after was out of stock. We realised this big boy was HEAVY and we ended up ripping the box to get it out. We set it up and let it run in our main bedroom. After a little while, it had created an icebox out of our bedroom. It's great, and not that noisy and perfect for a good sized room.

I sleep with an industrial fan on majority of the year because I quite like the white noise but this air con is so loud it actually properly wakes me and my partner up throughout the night as it randomly stops and starts up again (which is not a feature you can change btw). It works amazingly well to keep the bedroom super cool to sleep in but geez you genuinely need to be prepared for how loud it is.. probably wouldn’t recommend to anyone else to buy it’s that’s excessive tbh.

Pros Its fairly quiet.Cons It isn't overly cool, even when set to 16 degrees. It pours out water so you need to constantly empty buckets - like around a litre every hour. Also its quite large. I'm pretty sure my energy bill will punish me for this purchase also. I actually wonder if its working correctly. My previous freestanding air-con was a "Click" brand. Sadly it died. It was smaller, cooler, and dripped far less water.
Bought this machine because we wanted to upgrade from our old rinnai portable AC. Immediately we had issues and it wouldn't run for more than 30mins without showing a P1 error indicating that it was full of water. Returned for a refund. Wasn't worth the hassle since our old rinnai still works and the old machine would last months without needing to be emptied. Very disappointing.
Up to 2 weeks, it was working well, but the third weeks, unfortunately it was turn off suddenly. I have to plug out and plug in again to make work again, but its only for 20 mnts. That is 2 years warranty, on third weeks already have problem. After 3 times i had to bring the aircon to good guys, finnally I got refunded. Never buy this brand anymore ever
It was easy enough to set up, just needs to be level with a window or outlet so the pipe isn't bent. Works well to cool our lounge/dining and kitchen area but works best for a small to medium room/area. It is quiet enough to sleep with too, the sound just becomes part of the background, not an issue for us.
Old product should modify two hoses through YouTube how to modify product. Fan to weak need to put big fan in front of air conditioner. Compared with 3.9 kw window air conditioner. Window air conditioner is much better than it.
Very high power to cool our room within 20 minutes. Our living room size is about 25m2, the setting is at 20c on 30c day. The room is cooling down to about 22-24c. The noise level is around 61-64 decibel with highest fan, and cooling mode.
This is a life saver - my home office in QLD (18m2) catches both the morning and afternoon sun and gets absolutely steaming during the day. This AC is great - like all portable aircons it is a bit noisy, but it's white noise thats easy to zone out, especially considering it gets the temp down by about 10-15 degrees. I often have low music playing during the day and quickly forget it is on (until I go out of my office and feel how hot it is in the rest of the house).
