Fine suit - runs small

SURF INSTRUCTOR REVIEW: This is definitely a good suit for people with a slender build, and are a bit lengthier than most. It definitely runs about a full size smaller than any other wetsuit brand. In my experience with Ripcurl, they tend to wear out a lot bigger than most suits, even if they’re well taken care of. I go through about 4 suits a year because I’m in the water (California) 6 days a week, 6hrs a day. But the first couple of months are premium and totally worth it.The ā€œfire skinā€ material they use on the inner chest and back of the suit prevents rashing and skin exfoliation when sand gets in there. Keeps you cozy and of course, gives you all the UV protection you need. Would buy again if I scored the same amazing Backcountry discount.

I own anywhere between 6-8 wetsuits at a time, all different thickness and styles. I have mostly top of the line wetsuits and wanted to try bottom line such as this. I will say this suit is really all you need. It is comfortable enough and has lining in all the right places. I wanted a back zip for the days that aren’t as cold seeing they are always easier to paddle. For the price, this is the perfect suit for anyone.

This thing is super comfy, thick/durable, and it looks really cool. I am beyond stoked. The one negative is that they didn't have an XLT version of this model. A little snug if you're over 6'3.

I started surfing about 3 years ago and in that time had only had one wetsuit. It was on the lower end quality-wise but held up nice and kept me warm enough. This suit is 1000X better than that one. My spring suit is a 2mm model of this same suit and I loved that one, so I figure this has got to be pretty great. It is pretty great.Super thick, high-quality material, and quite a bit warmer than my other suit. I am in love with it so far and highly recommend it.One downside, it is a bit tight. I usually get XLT but since that wasn't an option I went with XL. If you're over 6'3, you may want to look for a supplier that offers a tall option.

Fits better around the front neck compared to a Oneil Heat XXXL. I a am fat neck. The Oneil is too thick, I do not the like the pressure around my throat area.

I’m 5’7ā€ and about 165 lbs. The suit fits nicely and I am a fan of the back zipper with the cord for ease of pulling. It’s quite warm and very flexible. Wore it in 43 degree water - not ideal - but I’m in MA and wanted to give it a go because I was tired of struggling with my front zip 5/7 suit.

I recently bought 4 wetsuits for my family from Hansen's. Their customer service was excellent. Their knowledgeable employees helped to ensure we got the right sizes. They even let us use a internet coupon in the store. We shopped around and Hansen's prices can't be beat.We are very happy with our purchase! Thanks Hansen's.

This exact same suit is almost $100 more at my local surf shops. I received a 20% off ā€˜First Time Customer’ coupon by signing up for emails/texts. The shipping was lightning fast and the suit is top notch. My only gripe is that I wish they had shipped it with the hanger. ā€œReview Sweepstakesā€

XLT Fits great. Warm suit
26 May 2021

I’m 6ft7, 235lbs, and have been getting custom suits for the past 10 yrs. This is the first off the rack suit I’ve tried. The XLT was long enough both in the legs and arms. It’s a little tight in the shoulders and neck but for an off the rack suit it fits surprisingly good and most importantly keeps me warm.
