Purchased the 60th Anniversary set for my son (and husband) with very little time left before Christmas and it arrived on time, very fast shipping especially with all the postal delays! We've really enjoyed playing this as a family of 3, excited to have more players join in when it's safe to do so.

The board is absolutely beautiful. All the optional rules and history is great. But the pieces (armies) are a completely let down. I would have been much happier with the old Triangle and asterisk pieces that the ones they chose for this, otherwise amazing 60th edition. In addition. cheap paper crates to hold your armies. The older plastic crates would have been a better choice.In the end. It is worth the price of admission for a beautiful game board and historical game rules set?

As someone who has enjoyed this game for almost 30 years I have owned many sets/editions. This is my favorite by far. The superb quality of the box with its metal corners and leather like straps.To the detailed map board and cards! Even the textures/details of the soldiers are amazing. This set actually came with a few extra soldiers for each color (I got 44 each instead of 40)!!!

I love the Risk board game and though this would be a great family gift - it isn’t. The pieces are cheap dime-store crap, and the game box arrived defective. The box lid has straps applied to give a treasure chest appearance, but the straps were falling off the moment it was removed from the shipping box. The game box was also damaged on the bottom. Since the shipping box and packaging materials were all in good shape, some warehouse person intentionally shipped a bad product. However, this version isn’t worth the money anyway as the pieces are cheaply produced plastic junk. Returned ASAP before I even thought to take pictures.
Love this game. Lots of good memories playing with the family, and this special anniversary edition is giving us new memories. Like Settlers of Catan, this is also a good entry point into more complex games.
It was great to see the origal unit colors back again. Very nostojic. Thhe game box was very unique. The playing of the game wasperfect as always.
My son absolutely loved this edition! We have a Risk version that uses small wooden block for the armies. This one has real army pieces making the game more realistic! We loved the game box too! Very pleased and very fast delievery.
This is a pricey set, but not massively more so than the normal version.The 60th Anniversary Set includes additional ways to play, including a 2-player version and the original French game, both of which make for interesting alternatives.Well-packaged with nice boxes inside for all the different armies.
I have always wanted to check out this game over the years. Finally bought the 60th Edition. Risk is actually a great game but its a slow start and setup - especially since we were still getting use to the rules. And we were 2 players. The greater the number of players the longer the game I suspect. Took us 1.5 hours to complete and the next time we played with 3 and it was 2 hours. So strap yourself in end enjoy taking over the world!
Super fast shipping! This edition is better in person. Love the details of the box. Very well packaged, can't wait to give it to my husband. Grabbed it on sale and couldn't be happier.
