Long time Rival guy; bags, wraps, & gloves. Started with RB20s, then the previous iteration of RB10s before moving to the new RB10s. Two issues with the new RB10s; first the thumb. The thumb in the older RB10s was curved & connected to the glove at the top of the thumb, making it easy to make a fist. The thumb in the new RB10s is set straight & connects to the glove along the side of the thumb. It's near impossible to make a fist, making it near impossible to use the gloves on a heavy bag. Second concern is the glove's stiffness. It goes beyond 'new gloves to work in'. After ample light heavy bag work & double end bag work in combination with compressing the gloves to make them more pliable, they are far too stiff to use. By far the best gloves money can buy. My girlfriend bought me a pair for Christmas and unfortunately she didn't understand how the ordering work and ordered the wrong size and colour. I was still very happy as the quality of the glove was like nothing I had ever experienced before. I do boxing training twice a week as part of a fitness regime. Frustratingly my right hand started getting sore on the knuckles after each session. I hoped these would help and they have. Top marks for build quality and ease to put on, take off. Also know I need to stop clenching my hand so darn tight when I train but until I learn that skill these will help me build fitness and continue on the journey. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Thought these are top of the line bag gloves... I don’t even have a heavy bag... yet my knuckles are slowly swelling up after just a few trainings.The gloves are supposed to have great airflow... but they did not dry up after 8 hours. Still wet inside.The protection is worse than in sparring gloves. I have no clue how other people didn’t notice this. Don’t recommend putting £200 into these.

I have used another brand which did the trick but after a while I needed to replace and I have recently had a few wrist sprains, trough gymwork rather than the boxing. I did a bit of research and cam across the RB 10's I wanted to get something that offered protection but allowed me to hit hard.I found the gloves a bit stiff and slightly tight on the first session, but after that it was plain sailing!!! Great wrist support. The straps pull tight (over and diagonally across your wrist) with a wide cuff and the velcro is easily opened & closed while wearing a glove on your other hand. They look great & feel solid too.My only complaint is about the faux ventilation holes over the thumb which look kinda cheesy. There are perforations in the (black) leather across the back of the glove that reveal orange leather underneath but there are orange dots painted/printed on the thumbs. Why even put them there?Just keep in mind that these are bag gloves & have a little less padding than my sparring gloves. It doesn't bother me at all because I'm not using them for sparring but my trainer says he can feel the difference when he's holding the pads for me & likes it when I wear ... MoreGreat wrist support. Amazing wrist support, shock absorption, light weight, and "feel" when smacking bags and trainer's mitts. The gloves are made with a material that's just about indestructible and these gloves are beautiful. The stitching could be better, but I still give these a 5 star rating, because I can train harder with far less pain in my wrists, arms and shoulders.
I bought my gloves 6-7yrs ago back then i believe they were £240. As they were a new addition to rival's collection. I'm still using mine regularly 2 times a week heavy bag use with hi intensity workouts, amazing material that still provides top level hand protection when other cheaper gloves compress and go "flat" after a few months of heavy use. No rips, tears or stitching undone, my hands never hurt after heavy use (with hand raps). Exceptional quality and durability despite heavy abuse. Worth every penny the only pair of heavy bag gloves you'll ever need! If I was rival I'd price them higher at £300 minimum!
Ok these gloves truly made my jaw drop and made me want to write a review. I have 12 pairs of gloves because I have a problem and I am obsessed with muay thai. I have most the major brands except for Twins, they are next. I have two torn ligaments in my right wrist, pain won't go away due to insufficient blood going in which results in not healing. 33 yrs old but body feels 90. I can literally punch the bags at my home right away with these gloves, usually I have to warm up by stretching and using heat devices on knuckles and wrist. They are very light and snug for being XL. I am 6'2" and my hands are enormous, these gloves fit so good. These gloves are expensive but honestly if you have pain and need protection these are the gloves. Next best pair in my opinion for protection is the Fighting Sport Fear gel bag gloves. They have same lining on inside and very good protection, less expensive, but these are lighter and completely block pain, and THESE GLOVES POP POP POP. Thank you Rival!!!!! I truly mean that!!!!
