My partner was kind enough to mock me, in jest of course, because whilst this is a beautiful object it serves little purpose in our day-to-day lives.Firstly, it holds only half-a-dozen eggs which is a fraction of how many eggs we normally buy and keep in stock at our house.Secondly, most homes would probably store their eggs in the refrigerator. We do not - instead we opt to keep in cardboard cartons they are purchased in, and left in a dark pantry. Having a ceramic egg storage solation in the fridge also makes zero sense given it's weight (quite heavy), dainty nature, and the fact that it has no lid! Not to mention the scratches and marks it would leave rubbing on glass/plastic shelves. No thanks! So I only use this when making sous vide eggs for the ... MoreMy partner was kind enough to mock me, in jest of course, because whilst this is a beautiful object it serves little purpose in our day-to-day lives.Firstly, it holds only half-a-dozen eggs which is a fraction of how many eggs we normally buy and keep in stock at our house.Secondly, most homes would probably store their eggs in the refrigerator. That's what I tell the missus whenever I present six perfectly cooked eggs for breakfast on a quiet weekend morning. That's how I roll....

Got this to go with the matching butter dish. It's really beautiful and functional, my only complaint is that the colouring is slightly different to the butter dish, so they're not a perfect match, but still looks great.

Do I need this? No. Does it make my kitchen bench look like it came from Martha Stewart’s mind? Yes.Anyone can store eggs in their cardboard carton, but it takes a special type of person who goes the extra step to make even their eggs look stylish. Be that person!
Strong, stylish, functional. Something so basic actually makes a difference, when you open the fridge it looks neat and organised. Can also be used in the pantry or for serving. Matches other Robert Gordon pieces.
These egg crates have a speckled neutral colour and earthy texture. One thing to note is that the 6 egg version has only one side that is curved - the other side is straight. A lovely way to display fresh eggs!
Looks rustic and textured in the photo. On arrival was very disappointing. Appears printed on and fake. Glossy and not stone ware in appearance. Can’t tell until packing is removed and therefore unable to return.
Love Robert Gordon wares. I bought most of this range. The egg crate is handy when you want to prepare a meal or do some baking. I use it to bring my eggs to room temperature from the fridge. Tempted to buy a second one…
Love love this egg carton to display my backyard chickens eggs, the beautiful pottery and the slightly organic shape like it has that hand made touch of love.
Beautifully made egg holder, perfect for all our freshly laid eggs.Gorgeous pottery piece to add style to any kitchen space.Love this range of homewares by Robert Gordon
