Have had experience with other high end machines and this is a new, better experince. Combines the flexibility of high precision manual use with very accurate, intuitive and convenient pre-programmed pours. Quiet, consistent, and largely user friendly in a great looking package. Only critique is touch screen could be a little more sensitive.

I previously owned the Rocket Giotto R which is a great machine but the R Nine One is a significant step up, in part due to pressure profiling. It is impossible to pull a bitter or terrible shot and love all the opportunities to explore different pressure profiles. I wasn't sure how difficult the programming would be, but this is easy and the touchscreen works well. Pairing with the Eureka Atom 75 made quite a difference over the Specialita which surprised me. If you are truly into pulling amazing espresso, this is the machine for you.
This is one fantastic device! Being very familiar with pressure profiling, and absolutely an advocate, this device simplifies the path and makes it repeatable. It is easy to set and use the profiles to accommodate degassing - beans at 5 days versus 10 use revised profiles easily dialed in.
