Rockford Fosgate T1693 Power 6x9" 3-Way Full-Range Speaker

Just got done installing these in my 02 Honda accord, I'm in love with them. I will never order another set of 6x9 from anywhere else! Been through Sony, kickers, and mtx, Rockford fosgate definitely know what they are doin. Thinking about ordering another set for my doors and getting a q logic kick panel for the 6.5 Rockford fosgate component speakers! These speakers are definitely worth the money!

Wasn't sure that these speakers were going to be a huge improvement over the Kenwoods that I took out. WRONG!!!! These speakers kick ass! Between the 4 P1683's in my doors, and now these, the bass is definitely pounding clean. But I was just as impressed with the clarity of the highs and mids. All run off of 1 Alpine amp. Too bad I cant say the same about the Punch Subs....after blowing 2 with only 500 RMS ....Image Dynamics might be the way to go for those.

I just received these today. The first thing I noticed was how insanely heavy the box was. When I opened it up, I was facing what has to be the most impressive pair of 6X9s ever! The magnets alone are HUGE!!! Anyway, I'm piecing my stereo together (have to pay the mortgage and all), so the speakers are still running off of the stock deck w/ the stock amp. Given the total lack of power running to them, these speakers sounds amazing! I can't wait to get my T600-2 amp to push them!

great speakers. no doubt about it. bass is really good. mids and highs the same. i have these in an 89 firebird, folded the back seat down and put them in boxes, sounds crisp at all volume levels.

Absolutely Awesome

In conjunction with a MVH-P8200 Pioneer head unit, these speakers THUMP. Theyre clear, full, and when done properly they have incredible bass. One friend got in my car and thought id installed a subwoofer instead of new speakers! (If you dont care for chest-pounding bass, you can always turn it down, they still sound rich and full no matter how little bass). five stars, awesome speakers. I will never buy any other speakers but these.Also, theyre very large speakers, the bass is monstrous, both in diameter and mounting depth. I actually had to cut some metal out of the inside of my door panel to get them to fit in front doors. Not for everybody, but I made it work for me. 10 minutes with a dremel, and viola! Also, the adapter harnesses I got to keep my car wiring un-cut didnt fit properly with the wire posts on the speakers, they were too big. Again, a bit of dremel work and they wit perfectly. Four stars for ease of use because I had to mess with the terminals. Not sure if that goes for every brand of adapter or just the Metra ones, but thats what I had to do. Other than that, these speakers are monstrous and of exceptional value. One time, there was ice on my passenger side front window and (stupidly) i tried to roll the window down to clear it of ice. Obviously, it didnt work that well, and I managed to get some ice/water in the door itself (didnt find out till later). One cold night, after driving for about 10 minutes, the right speaker popped and sounded like id blown it, even though the volume was at a very moderate level, nowhere near what it would have taken to blow these 100 watt rms speakers. I get home, take the speaker out and get it inside, there is ICE handing from the tweeter, and there is water in the tweeter casing. left it upside down on a towel for a day, stuck it back in the car, works perfectly. IT HAD WATER INSIDE IT AND STILL WORKS! Need I say more? Its friggin durable. --That is all.Joey

Best 6x9s ever!!! They have perfect sound quality! Better than T1692-S.

These are beyond excellent!!! I use these and the T1692-S on a T600-4 and these are amazing! My components (T1692-S) lack in the mids but these help make up for the 100%! Just these going is all you need. They have a perfect balance of all around sound quality. I'd buy these all over again in a heart beat. The ONLY bad thing about them is they are pretty deep and may need to modify the spot they will be going. I had to, as the magnet would hit my strut bolt. But the quality definitely makes up for any modifications that may need to be done.

In stalled these in my Harley rear bags, they sound great!! Huge punch!! Running a Rockford 400 w amp and they really rock!!

These are fabulous speakers. They will however need to be powered properly. They will accept every bit of 100W RMS. yet another great product from Rockford Fosgate.

Wonderful Speakers

I would like to start off by saying that I previously installed Rockford Fosgate Punch 1692 speakers in my front doors before this, using the stock radio. They sounded very clear but didnt seem to have as much bass as the stock rear speakers. After saving for a bit, I installed the T1693 speakers in the rear deck, with a Pioneer MVH-P8200 head unit. Both sets of speakers ROAR. I could not ask for anything better in these speakers. Using two different custom EQ settings from the head unit, one for rap and the other for rock, any and all music sounds wonderful. The highs are crystal clear, and the bass is deep and booming. My one complaint of these speakers is that the base of the speaker is ENORMOUS, and they are HEAVY (although they do feel very solid, which is good because they shake your whole car). This wasnt really an issue seeing as how they were installed in the back deck of my 07 Sebring, but they definitely would not have fit in the front doors. As it was, I had to cut some material out of the door panel to fit the Punch speakers in (which also have a very big base but not as big as these Power speakers).If you are considering these speakers among other competing speakers, buy these, you will not regret it. I looked at Kicker, Polk, MTX and other brands and settled on these and I absolutely love them. Just make sure you have a quality head unit supplying power and signal, and that you use high quality music. One thing Ive noticed is that a lot of my music is low quality and I can hear imperfections in the music that I cannot hear in my home speakers or headphones, thats how clear these speakers are.
