I ordered these walking shoes because I have had positive experiences with past Rockport purchases. This was the exception. I selected a wide size, but the pair I received was like clown shoes - so wide I couldn't keep them on while walking. The materials are not up to previous Rockport standards and the finishing was poor. I inadvertently discarded the return slip when I threw away the packaging so I threw away the shoes the next day. Total waste of money. Clearly the quality of Rockport shoes has deteriorated enormously. Avoid them if you can.

Liked the fit, comfortable, could have used a little more padding in the heel. 6 months in I had to re-glue the toe piece. 3 months after that had to do it again and a little down the sides. 11 months in the uppers are pulling away from the soles and holes have appeared. The uppers, the sole and the inside look like they have a few years left in them. Too bad about this design/manufacturing defect. Didn't last a year. I tried to upload photos, but an error keeps occurring. Ironic

Decent shoe - purchased as a casual alternative to tennis sneakers. Run a little small - more like an 11.5 than a 12. Light, still a little stiff after almost 3 weeks in regular rotation. Strangely, the laces need to be tied very tightly for them to stay tied. The look is casual, but the fit and comfort is more like a dress shoe. Price was right so I can live this these - but when it's time I will replace them with something else.

This is my primary shoe that I wear daily. I started buying these Rockport's well over ten years ago. I was tired of spending good money on shoes that only lasted 4 to 6 months. This is the only shoe (sneaker, casual shoe) I've found that doesn't wear out in six months or less. Every pair of these shoes that I've owned I have worn at least 12 months and only replaced them because the insoles wore out. I've had a hard time wearing out these shoes, you can replace the insoles and still not wear out the rest of the shoe including the laces.
Absolutely terrible quality shoe. We bought two pair for me and my son. Both completely fell apart in 6 months of daily wear. Rockport replaced my pair with another model, and the soles came off the replacement pair in less than 3 months. We've been waiting on a replacement for my son's pair for over a month now but haven't seen any yet. Never buying Rockports again!
I bought these for causal walking. After only six weeks the plastic/rubber (?) toe cap has broken loose on both shoes, and the sole has come unglued at the toes. I'll wear them working in the yard until they completely fall apart, which won't be too long at this rate. VERY disappointed in "Rockport" quality; not at all what the brand name used to mean.
The shoe is not very supportive. The laces do not go very far up the foot. The sole is adequate. I had purchased a pair for my 12 yr-old son but he hardly wore them so I sold them for $30.It works for a while as lightweight footwear but I need a more substantial shoe generally. They may be fine for strictly office work.Rockports have always been exceptional shoes. This model was a but light for a shoe that has a semi rugged appearance.
My husband and I both bought a pair of these Rockport shoes (different sizes) the day before (!) we left for a four day walking trip to Grand Gardens in the Philadelphia area. Somewhat daringly this was the ONLY shoes we brought with. We walked miles through Longwood Gardens, Chanticleerr Garden and the Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College. Must have walked miles and miles each day and wore these brand new shoes from sun up to sun down. This would have been a test for well broken in shoes, but these Rockports started feeling good and held up to walking through grass, mulched paths, concrete asphalt and up; and down hills and stairs. Dawn to dusk without so much as a rub, pain or discomfort. After 4 days and evenings of hot days (TI over 100 each day), and sweaty ... MoreMy husband and I both bought a pair of these Rockport shoes (different sizes) the day before (!) we left for a four day walking trip to Grand Gardens in the Philadelphia area. After 4 days and evenings of hot days (TI over 100 each day), and sweaty hot feet weather, neither of us had absolutely any problems with these shoes. With the shoes on sale and a buy one get one at 1/2 price we couldn't have e done better if we had 'Shoe Insurance'. I'd buy more Rockports from Shoe Carnival any day in a flash next time around. We give these the highest rating possible for walking comfort and a test of durability. We were not sorry that these were our only shoes during the entire time traveling. Good job to all.
