My first pro-Mic was the first edition Rode NT1 bought through AMS a few years ago. This time I was touring and forgot my digital interface. I knew USB mics existed so I pulled up my AMS bookmark to see what was available. When I saw the RODE NT USB, I stopped looking! I've made 1 recording so far and the results are just stellar. The attached "pop shield" is a great idea, which I used both on and off of the mic. One thing though, you will need an adaptor to use it on a normal fitting boom or mic stand. The desktop fitting with the stand is smaller in diameter. Other than that, it's plug and play, you're ready to record!

I have been using this microphone a couple of weeks now and I'm quite satisfied with the quality. It seems solidly built. It is responsive and very sensitive. I.ve used with a single instrument (flute) with great results. The connecting USB cable is quite long. I would appreciate an adaptor for the iPad since they advertise it is compatible with it but the package doesn't include one. I'm not so fond of the stand provided. It seems flimsy and needs to be placed in a specific position to balance the weight of the microphone but it doesn't turn once it is attached. overall I am quite happy with it. I must admit it is my first external microphone so I can't compare or review more technical aspects. I would recommend it though.

I was searching for a simple mic for my on-line guitar lessons. I was hesitant to try another usb mic as another popular brand purchase was a dud. However, this Rode mic is the ticket. Wow - this mic produces fantastic sound for both voice and music! It really enhances the on-line lesson experience and my teacher says it's like I'm in the same room. This is a simple to use, yet extremely powerful microphone that is well worth the price point. If you are taking lessons on line, this mic will really enhance the lesson experience with your teacher.

I was looking for a USB microphone that is easy to use and is good for singing as well as fiddle playing/guitar. This fits the bill. It works well with the laptop and with the iPad (using a special camera cable). The only quibble to me is the flimsy tripod, but you could easily buy a different one. It also came in very handy for working online: much better sounds for meetings and recording lectures/classes.
Extremely easy to set up, plug and play. Produces a MUCH better quality sound than my on-board mic on my MacBook Pro or mirrorless Fujifilm X-T20 (obviously). I'm pleased with the presence it gives my voice in scratch VO recordings and in online meetings.
I use this microphone primarily to teach lessons online. My students have noticed a significant improvement in terms of the audio quality. Perhaps it is a bit too good, as it is quite sensitive. I also tested its ability to record music with my guitar and the results are fantastic. I can't sing very well, though the mic does make my voice sound better than in real life. The long cord is quite convenient as well. The only negative aspect is the stand, for the mic is quite large in comparison and it is rather easy to tip over since it is almost always quite close to being off balance.
This mic is awesome for both voice and music. It really enhances sound performance, particularly for use with on-line music lessons. Don't be fooled by this mic's ease of use (plug n play), the sound quality is awesome.
I was looking for a good quality mic that was USB/USB C more just general home use. Without having a ton of sound proofing in my home office this still sounds great and blocks most external sounds that I don't want recorded. My one complaint would be that there is Rhode software that isn't required to be used, but is required to update the firmware in the mic and use some more features of it.
I was excited to try out this mic. I have to say I have owned an on camera rode, a shotgun mic from rode, and this one was my latest addition. What a nice mic to use. Plug and Play, levels are great right out of the box. Voices render really well and you truly just need minimal tweaking in post. Great product I used it mostly for voice overs and couldn't be happier.
Amazing product. Works great for all my recording works. Especially vocals. Build quality is very good. Worth for the price
