This new RØDE adaptor does what it says on the box and is exactly what I need at this time. This small adaptor allows me to use my tiny RØDE VideoMicro with long XLR cables and converts the phantom power from my ZOOM H6 to plug-in power with out introducing any more noise. It’s not a cheap adaptor (one of the most expensive I have purchased), but cheaper than purchasing yet another shotgun microphone I don’t need. Happy with this purchase as it’s added yet more flexibility to another great RØDE product.

I was told by BH these VXLR Pro adapters worked with Rode Go ii, but after I updated firmware to 2.1.9 the second channel was always mute, even when the RX showed two active channels. Yet the original plain VXLRs I owned did split into two audio channels into my Zoom F6. I tried Rode Filmmaker lavs and others too, but no split with VXLR Pro. They provide phantom power to some mics, but Go ii has internal batteries. I returned the connectors to BH, even though I had to tear those terrible glued Rode boxes open. Bad packaging.

I had noise and interference using the regular Rode adapter on the Zoom H6 and Zoom H8. the VXLR Pro solved that problem. I highly recommend it if you're having such issues.

This item allows us to use the Rode Lavalier GO mic for video podcasts in our studio. We connect the VXLR Pro to our mixing console, enable phantom power and this adapter converts that to plug-in power at the same time it adapts the 3.5mm mic connector to XLR and presents a transformer-balanced signal to our mic input. I'd say it sounds great, but what I really mean is that the mic sounds great through it -- the adapter makes no sound of its own at all, which is exactly what it should do. This adapter plus the Lavalier GO microphone gives me a very economical audio solution for video guests. So far I'm very happy with the sound of the Rode mics we've chosen, and this adapter makes that possible. So far I'm very happy with the sound of the Rode mics we've chosen, and this adapter makes that possible. You just plug it in and it works; it does exactly what it is supposed to do. And it feels well-built and rugged enough to last a while, especially under the conditions we're using it.
This does exactly what it says...take a 3.5mm connection and make it an xlr. Use it with my Rode wireless to go 2 and Rodecaster Pro.And B&H service was exception as usual.
The connection is easy to make and seems tight . My Videomic NTG powers on and works flawlessly with this adapter. This provides me with more flexibility and choice in capturing audio. I’ve coupled the VXLR Pro Videomic NTG with a Zoom H5 (phantom power) with outstanding results and considerable distance from the audio source.Concern or challenge is the VXLR Pro is fairly heavy and requires creativity in securing it to ensure and maintain good connection. Mounty or fastening the VXLR Pro to a stable platform so that it is not dangling is my biggest obstacle. Not insurmountable but surprised.
Works great! Needed to use my Rode VideoMic Go II with a 48v phantom XLR video camera.Converts the 48v to 4v so that the VideoMic Go II would power on.Solid build as well and doesn't feel flimsy.
I upgraded to these because I use the Rode Wireless Go II and adapt it to the XLR imputs of a Zoom H8. On the old converters, I got a lot of whine and noise. The VXLR pro's are an improvement, but I still occasionally get whine and noise in these upgraded ones.
I use the Rode VXLR Pro to connect the Rode Wireless Go II receiver module to a Rodecaster Pro XLR port. This solution works really well as I appear to get a slightly cleaner sound over using the standard Rode VXLR connector. Either connector does the job but I prefer the VXLR Pro.
I used it with my Zoom H6 field recorder to hook up to my Rode NTG Video Mic. Works like a charm. A big heavy but I guess that's better than fragile and light. I would've given it a 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper (maybe by $10)? I've only tested it at home. Overall, I'm very satisfied as a brand new user. I may have to review it again after I start on my documentary.
