We've had a 55" TCL Roku t.v. and it hardly lasted a year, was not happy. I was extremely interested in the fact that Roku was starting to manufacture their own televisions, so we bought this 65" and just wow. The screen is so crisp and vivid, the home screen works quickly, no lagging. The fact that it's made by Roku rather than being just powered by Roku, but made by someone like Onn or TCL was really the selling point for me. It had the normal amount of HDMI ports, four if I'm not mistaken, and the normal USB port. It has a headphones 3.5mm jack, an LAN port, an Optical port, and a coax hook up for an antenna. It also has a HDMI E-Arc for the television to communicate with the soundbar and still send picture to the port, which would work flawlessly with the Roku ... MoreWe've had a 55" TCL Roku t.v. and it hardly lasted a year, was not happy. The feet of the t.v. are super easy to install, the setup of the t.v. is also rather easy to navigate. This particular model also came with "lost remote finder" which I haven't had on the 4 other Roku's, snd as long as you have a smartphone or tablet, you can install the Roku app, and use that as your "remote", just to navigate the home screen to options, locate remote, and it will legit "page" your remote. There's a speaker on the bottom of your remote. It even has different sounds you can use, and all of them are good and loud, what an interesting feature. I literally have nothing bad to say, it starts up very quickly, shuts down quickly, super easy to connect game systems to. Let's just hope the internals of this television last longer than the one made by TCL. As I mentioned before, our 55" TCL didn't last hardly a year, due to the backlight failing for absolutely no reason. 10 out of 10, would certainly buy again.

This TV is by far the best value for a good quality product. While this TV may not be the best candidate for a home theater, it's the best choice for your bedroom! This TV isnt content heavy on the home screen like a google tv, but it's very responsive with little to no lag when interacting with the user interface. The remote makes this TV ideal for a bedroom setting because you can plug any headphones with an audio jax and listen to the TV without distributing your partner in bed. Also, you can enable wireless earbuds too! The Remote has two custom shortcut buttons for any app to help you launch your favorite app with ease. The picture quality is great for any show and when it comes to audio, the built in speakers will work just fine. I have a Sharp Roku 43 inch smart TV from 2017. I wanted to purchase an additional TV, but not pay too much. Was hoping for true Black Friday deals but nobody got them. Only wanted to pay max $150. I gave the no-name brand Hisense a shot. The picture was great, but the android OS is terrible. Bloatware you can't remove for additional storage and the sound sounds like it's coming out of a tunnel. So, I had to double my budget to $300 and went with Roku again and it never disappoints. Extremely minimal to nonexistent bloatware which you can delete. Simplistic home screen, simplistic remote that gets you from point A to point B. Picture is amazing on all angles, sound is decent. For the price, it’s really not a bad TV. This is the second one, as the first one we got had [a] blown speaker(s) right out of the box. We were able to get a new one, and the Best Buy employee told us that in their experience, nobody else had had this issue. It was probably just a fluke, things happen, it’s alright. When we got everything set up with the new TV, although skeptical at first, it proved its worth rather quickly. It’s got good sound, the picture is very good, and the adjustable settings are nice. First thing I don’t particularly like: the backlight. On dark screens (if a movie has a black frame for a moment, or a black loading screen), the backlight shines through. This isn’t too bad, however, because it’s usually temporary. Second, any white on the TV ... MoreFor the price, it’s really not a bad TV. First thing I don’t particularly like: the backlight. On dark screens (if a movie has a black frame for a moment, or a black loading screen), the backlight shines through. This isn’t too bad, however, because it’s usually temporary. Second, any white on the TV is too stark. After fiddling with the picture settings for a moment, you can bring it down so it doesn’t look like shot pixels, but it’s still very bright and according to some forums, it may be because of the HDR, which cannot be disabled. This still isn’t too much a problem most of the time, but it does give an overexposed look to a film or show that some would find distracting (we found this out while watching Harry Potter 4). Otherwise, it’s not a bad little gadget and does its job nicely, but if you are one to get distracted by uneven lighting or overexposure I’d definitely use discretion to review other options on the market. When asked if I would recommend this TV, I put no, because there are certain elements to the TV including what I mentioned above, and the (to be honest) somewhat limited/user-unfriendly controls specifically for picture settings. Again, if you just need a TV and aren’t looking for bells and whistles, this is a good TV, especially for the price, but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone with the same needs in a TV like mine were.
I bought this TV because my old TV had picture problems, and I wanted to get a set that's slightly bigger. My old TV left a sour taste in my mouth for Smart TVs, and I was wary about buying another one. However, from the experience I've had with streaming boxes, I've deducted that the one I like the most is Roku, and if I was to get a new smart TV, it had to be a Roku TV. I prefer the Roku interface and remote to any other streamer I've tried. The user interface keeps it simple, it doesn't bombard you with gigantic ad on the top half of your screen (looking at you, Amazon) and the apps are sorted in a 3-column grid that everyone, even your elderly family members that can't work an iPhone, can probably immediately understand it. The remote is comfortable and has a good heft to it.On self-branded Roku TVs like this one, it comes with a "premium" Roku remote. It's thicker than the regular Roku TV remote you'll get with, say, a TCL or Hisense model. The box gives you everything you need for a basic setup. If you've had a Roku Ultra, it's that remote. The TV has four HDMI ports and one Composite input. I hook this up to multiple game consoles. Right now, I have a PS4, Nintendo Switch and Wii all hooked up via HDMI, on top of a Vizio soundbar with HDMI-ARC. I don't have to swap out cables to play a different system, and that's really nice.Overall, this TV is perfect for what I use it for, and I'd totally recommend this set if you want to get a good, cheap TV.
I want a working product !!!!!! I looked forward to the Roku tv / streamer device that does not come with KNOWN ISSUES that kept me from using a just purchased JBL 2.1 Deep Bass sound bar. Not Compatible.... returned and went back to 43" Sharp 4K / Roku tv that is 5 years old with a Better picture than the new Roku plus series. I am overall not Happy with a lot of the current 55" tvs. I purchased and returned a Roku 55" plus series. Not compatible with just purchased JBL sound bar. Also a Samsung 55" QLED, funky display. Seemed to be doing a bad job at adjusting to amount of light in room. Returned..... Hisense 55" seemed to have the best picture but had other problems, sound bar compatibility and some basic design flaws. Seems these Vendors did a real RUSH JOB getting to market that it seems like most manufacturers screwed up. Roku already claiming the new QLED 55" model will have all fixes done for release. There is Something wrong with all 55" models in general struggling to stay ahead but no one is. I'm back to my 43" Sharp 4K UHD/Roku tv and love it even more following the trying of 3 different 55" new models which did not work even close to my expectations. Simple, just not compatible with programming problems that should have been accomplished before releasing the model.
I bought this TV at the end of March 2024 and loved it. Great picture, sound, and the ROKU interface was awesome. Unfortunately this month the screen started flickering and having the screen move all around. The first time it did it, I just unplugged it and plugged it back in, and that resolved it. Last night though, it happened again, and nothing I did corrected it.Due to that, I can not recommend nor would I rebuy. The second issue is with how my return has been handled. I purchased a 5 year warranty and when went to return today and buy something different, BB would NOT let me just return it for a refund and replace it with something else. The kicker is I may not have it for a full month while it's being repaired. I complained and told him that was ridiculous ... MoreI bought this TV at the end of March 2024 and loved it. The kicker is I may not have it for a full month while it's being repaired. I complained and told him that was ridiculous for a $250 TV you can't just replace it. I kept being told "this is our process" since it's still in manufacturer warranty. Well the process needs to change and offer the customer a choice between repair or replace. If this were a $1000+ TV I can maybe see having to get it repaired, but at this price point, a customer should not be required to go through this. Do better BEST BUY! I will NOT buy another TV from you again after this experience and I've bought many TVs from you in the past!
The MOST OUTSTANDING Roku TV anywhere! I am really enjoying this tv. I never knew that Roku made tvs. Before I always used to buy the tcl, or the Hisense tvs. So I wasn't sure about the quality of Roku televisions. The actual Roku platform, is awesome, so much better than any Smart TV out there. Especially if you like to watch YouTube. Why anybody would buy a smart TV rather than a Roku tv, is beyond me. But anyhow, I got the 65 in tv, and what a breeze it was to set up, it actually mounted on a 15-year old wall mount that I had. The processing speed is spectacular, the picture is spectacular, I'm so glad that the remote came with actual batteries, instead of the rechargeable remote that they used to use. Overall, I'm very very impressed with this television and at the price for 399, it's a bargain. Oh yeah, I forgot. I used to have my 37-in Hisense Roku TV with a soundbar from roku. I'm really surprised at how Roku up their game with the sound on this tv. The sound is amazing, there is no need for a sound bar anymore unless you're one of those Hi-Fi Tech Geeks. Kudos to you Roku for doing an outstanding job
This was my first Roku brand TV. All my other TV's have Roku loaded into the TV or I'm using a Roku streaming device, so I'm familiar with the interface. This was basic setup with just a sound bar and cable box attached. The sound bar was previously attached to a TLC Roku TV and I had no problems with it and it worked fine. After I signed into my Roku account all apps showed up as expected. When going through the setup I got to the part where Roku was trying to identify the external devices. The system could not recognize the sound bar which was attached to the HTMI 1 eARC port. It recognized the cable box on HTMI 2. I tried reinserting the HTMI cable, tried a different cable and it still didn't work. I didn't have an optical cable handy so it looked like I was ... MoreThis was my first Roku brand TV. Going into the audio settings it just showed the TV speakers no sound bar. I then went and tested the cable box and several apps and everything worked fine. About a half hour later I went back into audio setting and low and behold the sound bar showed up as a JBL sound bar. I selected it and the sound bar worked. The home screen just showed a sound bar and not the specific sound bar like my other Roku devices do. For this hassle I knocked off 1 star. As for the TV itself it's very good, a nice clear 4K picture and decent sound withe the TV speakers.. I did very little tweaking to the settings to get it set up as I liked.
Worked as expected for about a month or two, then randomly jumps back to home screen while playing a movie or show. Restarting it from settings - power options sometimes fixes it, but not always. Powering off tv and powering back on doesnt help with the issue at all. It occurs about once a day to once every other day, and it does it several times in a row, sometimes making you restart show from beginning. The family's decided to take it down and put upthe older tv that this replaced, which was ~10 year old Sony. Not happy at all. 2 stars because it worked well for a month or so.I'll also mention the power cord on it is too short. We have it mounted about 6 ft up, and it wouldnt reach the plug by the floor. I had to mount a power strip about 3ft off the ground ... MoreWorked as expected for about a month or two, then randomly jumps back to home screen while playing a movie or show. I had to mount a power strip about 3ft off the ground before i had enough cable to plug it in, with sufficient cable. Most tvs today you can replace the power cable with a longer one if needed. This one is connected straight to the tv. I even took off a panel, thinking there's a hidden plug. Nope. Cable was soldered directly on power board in the tv. Terrible design. I could list several reasons why you'd want a modular power cable, safety being one (someone pulls on the cable, you dont want the tv to come crashing down. Its better if the cable just unplugs from the tv). I cringed when i seen that, but i could look past it. I cant look past the jumping back to home screen thing though.
