Remove any old wax, grease, dirt and oil by cleaning the surface with white spirit. Sand with a 120 grit sandpaper to leave a smooth and even surface, ensure to remove any peeling, flaking or loose old finishes. Remove any dust with a damp cloth and allow to fully dry. ApplicationWe recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility with the surface to be varnished, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. Stir the varnish to ensure a smooth consistency. Apply an even layer of the varnish using a brush and working in the direction of the wood grain. Allow to dry for one hour, and apply a further 2 coats. Before applying the final coat, sand down the surface and wipe away the dust. Aftercare & StorageCleaning Clean up any spills as soon as possible and give the surface a general clean on a regular basis. Repair Any damaged sections sand until smooth and apply a few coats of varnish.
