The Rossignol Experience 82 Basalt Skis w/ SPX 12 Konect GW Bindings is a great ski and binding combination for skiers who want a versatile front side ski that won’t overpower them. With the same dimensions as the Experience 82 Ti, but built with different construction, it's unique in its own right. Rossignol replaces the metal in its core with Basalt fiber, which makes the ski less stiff in flex and more approachable for a wider range of skiers. The Basalt 82 is forgiving but snappy and quick and very maneuverable. It’s easy to engage in and out of turns and is light in weight, making it an ideal ski for lighter weight or smaller sized skiers. And because of its approachability, less aggressive skiers or intermediates will gravitate towards this ski as well. That being said, it can be skied at much slower speeds with a wide variety of turn shapes as well. With a lightweight Paulownia core, you also get Rossignol's Drive Tip Solution, which uses a complex blend of fibers and Visco in the tip to absorb vibrations and turn them into usable energy as it reaches the underfoot portion of the ski. At 82-millimeters underfoot it is very comfortable on groomers, skiing bumps or in tight trees with 3-4" of fresh snow.
