Unlike conventional dualband mesh WiFi systems, where half of the total wireless bandwidth is sacrificed for the backhaul connection, the ZenWiFi AX offers a triband design with a full WiFi frequency band dedicated to backhaul, maximizing the system's performance and stability. With this updated design, you benefit from fast and stable WiFi, even when data is transmitted across multiple hubs to reach your device. SSID and backhaul configuration. The ZenWiFi AX allows flexible configuration of the backhaul connection and SSID settings. For backhaul connections, the second 5 GHz band can be configured as either a dedicated or nondedicated backhaul connection. This allows for either maximum backhaul speed or frees up the fastest 5 GHz band for connected devices. If you have network ports in the walls, the ZenWiFi AX can also utilize wired Ethernet backhaul. In this case, all three WiFi bands are reserved for your wireless devices, enabling even more stable and reliable networking. Additionally, you can assign a unique SSID name for each of the three WiFi frequency bands.
