my cats like Royal Canin Persian but somehow they barely touch this newly opened pack that I bought recently. I checked the best before dates and turns out that this one is about to expire within 6 mos (Dec 2023). They took the other dry food expiring 2024. Somehow they can smell/detect ones that are not so fresh anymore. I did not expect this from the Official store. Although still within the best before date, but still disppointing.

What is Royal Canin putting in the Persian food, that they are not putting in thr other foods.?! The morsals look rich. I have been feeding this to my Persian that was rehomed to me. It is all he will eat. He wont eat anything else, not even wet food. I recently got a Maine Coon kitten and she loves it too. But I need her to eat her kitten food. She will have 5 bowls of different food, but she goes for this food. Then I had to purchase once a month, but its not available in the store. I now have 2 rescue kittens, and they love it too. They eat this food over their food. I need them to eat their kitten food. Because it has more protein. So what I do with my Maine coon is mix in kitten food, with the Royal Canin. Prince loves this food. I give him this and Hills Science Diet 11+, which he doesn't like as much and hardly touches compared to this. I still give him that with this though as this doesn't have taurine, which is essential to cats. I was thinking of getting one of the big bags to 'save money', but apparently they go bad and should be replaced 6 weeks after opening (for all dry food), so the littlest one is the safest and best. On petcircle, it seems a bit more expensive than elsewhere. But I'm sure it's all genuine and quality.
I find this product just so good and nutritional for my wife's adult cat and also because of the shape and size of the food. It's also perfect for the Persian cats shape face and jaw unlike some other dry goods she has tried. Also my cat has the most beautiful conditioned coat and I do contribute this totally to the food he's eating. Because regular grooming of course helps keeps him knot free but his coat is nice and soft and just in great condition. Also I would highly recommend this food to anyone whom has an adult Persian. Also before I forget Pets at Home still come out to be the best value for this food and the nice part about it is it's always available in store. So no waiting around for deliveries in case your in a hurry for the food.
