Royal Canin Instinctive Adult in Gravy Wet Cat Food - 85g
Promotes a healthy urinary system by reducing the concentration of minerals that can form urinary stones. High content of essential fatty acids with moderate energy levels to maintain ideal weight. Because the best food is of no use if the cat does not eat it. Adult cats also prefer a specific optimal nutrient profile (ONP). Mature cats, especially neutered ones, have an increased risk of urinary stone formation. The diet must provide all the necessary nutrients for optimal health and vitality while maintaining ideal weight. The new healthy nutrition with an optimal nutrient profile is a formula tailored to the life stage and individual characteristics of the cat. The nutrient profile describes the distribution of energy provided by nutrients. It represents an optimal ratio of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates to promote long-term acceptance. The specific nutrient profile varies with the age of the cat, as well as with its physiological status (pregnancy, lactation phase).

I have used all of the Royal Canin products for fostering kittens, and I literally cannot recommend anything more for your pet. The science and passion behind this brand to make sure your kittens, (and pregnant or lactating mothers) are recieving not just the proper nutrition- but also without excess fillers- is completely visible in the results you will personally see with your kitten or Mother cat itself. Also- I have not EVER recieved any sort of compensation for this review- and I want to really drive home that I have fostered numerous cats and kittens over the last 12 years, and I do not believe there is a better kitten food on the market. So much so, that I pay for it myself, out of pocket- even though other brands have been donated, to ensure healthy starts ... My breeder recommended this for my 2 Burmillas, and suggested occasionally adding finely chopped lean red meat to it as a supplement (which one likes, the other hates). Burmillas are fussy little things - but they've consistently eaten Royal Canin Instinctive in Jelly everyday of their lives (one is 7, the other 6) and mostly clean their bowls (as clean as they get with these two anyway). They're on a 50/50 wet food/dry food diet (dry food also Royal Canin) & it helps their skin, coat & health tremendously. Both have had most of their teeth removed age 3 & 4 (breed issue) & some airborne allergies (skin, asthma) and I feel a Royal Canin diet (plus low chemical use, air purifier, HEPA vacuum - they're indoor cats) has helped stabilise their conditions & keep them off ... When my two cats first ate this product by itself, both were fine. However, because of my experience with Royal Canin Mother And Baby Stage 2 Wet Cat Food Trays (one cat produced perfectly normal stool, the other produced slightly mushy (WALTHAM Grade 3?) stool) I purchased some Feline Natural as well for backup. Since I didn't want the FN to just sit there, I tried mixing RC with FN and having the cats eat both. After I started mixing the food, on two separate occasions weeks apart the ratio was more RC than FN and on each occasion the cat that reacted poorly to the Mother and Baby reacted poorly to this (Instinctive Jelly). Eventually both cats started avoiding the RC meat chunks and leaving them in the bowl after all the FN is finished. In short, if you're ... That said, both my cats have been free feeding Royal Canin's Kitten Dry Cat Food and so far they seem fine.
Well if I were a cat I reckon I would gobble up my food within minutes, but......... I have 2 Ragdolls and we have been giving them the Royal Canin Instinctive with gravy as recommended by the breeder. Well most days they walk up to their bowls have a sniff, start to cover it and walk away. They venture back and forth and have a nibble here and there but most of the time it gets washed down the drain. We have tried several ways to try and get these little princesses to eat but nothing helps. Any suggestions would be most welcomed Xxx
So sorry we did not know 11 years ago that our VERY fussy 11 year old calico would gobble this food up! It has been such a wasteful experience finding food she would eat. Just tried Royal Canin and she loves it! She also will eat a few nibbles at a time of the dry food even though she has never wanted dry food before. She licks the wet food platter clean! Very impressed and will keep buying. The online ordering and swift delivery is absolutely fantastic from Pet Circle as well. Considering we usually waste half of the grocery store brands, Royal Canin is very economical as she will actually eat it!
Cookie will eat this food in stages. I rotate with the Indoor 7+ for variety, as she won't eat this solely. As she's older and has hyperthyroidism with CKD, the lower phosphorus levels keep her kidneys settled. Less litter box cleaning up. I was throwing a lot of the other brand I was using out, as she'd lick the gravy and not eat the meat. So as a result was loosing weight. I'm confident in giving her a very good brand of food which has a strong nutritional profile. Grains are not all bad, provided they are high quality, as they are in Royal Canin. Cookie is happy.
My kitten absolutely loves both the dry and wet food in the kitten range. The gravy sachet are his favourite. It also reduces his toilet smells and his bad breath. Other cheap brand have him stinking the entire house out when he goes to the toilet and his breath stinks bad. So this is a wonderful product if you have an issue with smells.
So, has anyone noticed the ingredients are not listed on the site? The UK site has the ingredients ofMeat and animal derivatives, derivatives of vegetable origin, cereals, minerals, vegetable protein extracts, various sugars. Vitamin D3: 130 IU, E1 (Iron): 3 mg, E2 (Iodine): 0.28 mg, E4 (Copper): 2.3 mg, E5 (Manganese): 0.9 mg, E6 (Zinc): 9.5 mgThis does not strike me as good or reliable. What are "Meat and Animal Derivatives."?!?!? If you could clarify these things and possibly put your ingredients on your site that would be greatly appreciated.
Wow, loved, not just liked! The first food pouch I have purchased with not a sign of disinterest. It is such a joy to see this fusspot eat something without sticking his nose up at it.I bought this after reading the positive reviews and did my calculations and found that he is actually 8 years old so, silly me and I will look further into other 7+ cat foods on offer. Thanks to the reviewers and Pet Circle.
