This is the only thing our cat will eat! She doesn't even eat wet food over this. Though a bit on the pricier side this well made cat food comes from a brand we trust. The ingredients are god and tailored to our specific cat breed, and with a range of products for all kinds of different breeds flexible for what anyone needs. we appreciate the quality and don't mind paying a little extra. Our vet and breeder recommended it.

I have two Ragdoll cats who were eating the Ragdoll breed cat food until it became unavailable earlier this year. One of my cats barfs a lot, but after he started eating the Ragdoll food, his barfing nearly ceased. The Maine Coon food is similar to the Ragdoll food, but the pieces are bigger. My barfing cat is eating it with good results. He has a big head and weighs about 13 pounds. My smaller, female cat won't eat the Maine Coon food. She has a small head and weighs about 10 pounds. I think the pieces are too big for her mouth.

My Maine Coon is a rescue who was severely anemic when I got him. His coat was dull and he was very unwell. Straight away I did some research and found Royal Canin Maine Coon food wet and dry came highly recommended. He has been on them for four weeks now, and the improvement is amazing. His skin is white again instead of yellow. His coat is shiny and soft. But most of all he is healthy and running around. For his sake I am so happy I found this food for him.

My Maine Coon and my Ragdoll as well absolutely love this food. I also give them some wet food. The large chunks are a once a day treat for Casey (Maine Coon). She's had digestive issues since she's been little - she doesn't drink a lot. If that weren't the case, I wouldn't give her anything else. It's very nutritious and has everything a big cat needs!
I have a Norwegian Forest Cat and my breeder advised me to feed this to her. I guess it’s good for the bigger cats in general. I haven’t tried it myself but the pallets are quite large in size and very crunchy and my cat appears to like it. Of course, she is a spoiled cat and prefers treats over this. Still, she eventually eats this when hungry. So I think they made it just tasty enough so that the cats eat only when they are hungry. This is convenient for me as I can pay less attention to my cat’s diet and focus on mine. I will be feeding this food to my cat over the next decade or so, along with occasional wet cat food and my pizza. The shop’s price of this item is very competitive.
My Maine Coon loves this food! She really prefers the large kibble in relation to regular cat food size. When I purchased for the first time and mixed the kibbles, she would only eat the large kibble. My only problem is the 6lb bag, for a 23lb cat, this doesn't last long enough. You really need to bring back the larger bag for these large cats!
I am really at my wits end over what to do about my cats food! I need to feed her a large kibble, as she is a Maine Coon. Maine Coon's are known for eating their food way too fast, and as a result, throwing it up. They need large kibble to force them to eat slower. They are also prone to hairballs due to their long fur. The Royal Canin Food should be perfect for my cat in theory. My problem is the ingredients in THIS food!! The first ingredient is Chicken by product Meal!!! That might be ok for a food like Purina, but not a Premium Food and not for the money they charge! It should contain the same type ingredients as Blue Buffalo but in a large kibble. My vet said that cats eat it up because for them it is like eating "junk food", or like a bowl of M&M's for us!!! I ... MoreI am really at my wits end over what to do about my cats food! I have contacted Royal Canin about this by email, and they will never answer me back!!! I am stuck as at this point as Royal Canin is the only company that makes a food with a large kibble Maine Coon's need. I guess it is better that my cat eat something and not throw up, than not to eat at all. Not quite an endorsement now is it? Boy, I wish I could say that I am feeding my cat the best possible food, but I am unable to do that unless Royal Canin changes the ingredients in their food, which I know will probably never happen. I hope someone from Blue Buffalo sees this and starts making a large kibble food that helps with hairballs and has their usual quality ingredients!!! Chloe, I am trying baby to find you a food that will not cause you to throw up and is also good for you when you are able to keep it down!
Rocky, my Maine Coon, would “woof” (pardon the expression) through his prior kibble. His previous owner said he won’t eat anything else. Well, he loves Royal Canin AND he eats at a more moderate tempo given its size versus the little pieces of the aforementioned. It feels good to have him be more mindful of his eating habits and get his teeth cleaned too. Great texture, mindfully slowing down to manifest a Royal Feline manner, this gentle giant is happy and healthy. Doesn’t seem like “empty calories” like the other food which he constantly was wanting more of. This seems more nutritious and filling for him. Great ziplock bag closure too.
I have a Maine coon and she has had problems of throwing up after eating for a long time. It wasn't all the time, but it was enough for me to be concerned and about a year ago I took her to the vet. Thankfully there was nothing wrong with her, and my vet just recommended that I switch her dry food to either Royal Canin, Wellness, and 1 other that I can't remember the name of. I tried Wellness first but she was not having it, then tried the Royal Canin special 33 which she loved. Problem was, she was continuing to throw up every now and then. I didn't know that the Maine Coon food existed, I just randomly found it when I was looking to replenish her other food. I didn't know that the Maine Coon food existed, I just randomly found it when I was looking to replenish her other food. After reading the description of the Maine Coon food and seeing that they make the kibble bigger to help your cat chew, a light bulb went off....she is throwing up because she has been swallowing her food whole. Immediately bought it and introduced it to my cat. She absolutely loves it and has not had one problem with digesting it. I am so happy that I found this for her and I just wish I did sooner. If you have a Maine Coon and have had the same problem, please give this a try.
We have 2 maine coon cats and they absolutely love this food. The size seemed big to us (compared to other cat food) but it's just right for them. The shape is nice too...they are 4 years old but still playful so they do chase a piece across the floor every once in a while and will also use their paws to pick up and eat a piece. It hurts as bad as stepping on a Lego but it's no problem for their jaws and teeth. We allow them to graze/free eat and their weight has always been healthy (16-17 lbs ea). Our vet is always very pleased with their blood work and overall health at check ups. We couldn't be more pleased with their gorgeous coats and, even more surprising, lack of hairballs. Bright beautiful eyes, fantastic energy level, and always come running when we fill ... MoreWe have 2 maine coon cats and they absolutely love this food. Pick is of Cairo and Layla with the royal canin kitten food but they have been enjoying the Maine Coon formula just as much if not more. By the way, we appreciate being able to buy in such large (and super fresh sealed) bags. Thank you!
