We have a 5 month old beagle mix and he just devours this food! I like how it's bite size making this much easier for my pup to eat. He eats a half cup in the morning and a half cup in the evening and I add a little water to it to soften it up. He loves this food and I love knowing how good this food is for his immune and digestive system. He also had no digestive issues when I switched from our former brand of food to this one, so it is gentle on his stomach which is very good. I would definitely recommend this puppy food to all new puppy pet owners, it is wonderful and they love it!!

I have two puppies. The previous dog food I had them on was giving my one puppy really bad diarrhea. I spoke with a vet on this website and they recommended this brand. I was a little skeptical because the food doesn’t have a flavor, but both of my puppies LOVE this food. Their stools have been a lot better and formed and they’ll eat the entire serving. I even have to stop my older (8 year old) dog from eating this puppy food. I am a huge fan.

I know Royal Canin is a good food but this bag was no good. The food itself was incredibly greasy, leaving residue on the bowl and in the storage container I keep it in. I would have returned it but by the time I realized something was wrong, I had already threw out the bag and receipt. When I first noticed it I thought that maybe since it was a new bag the greasy texture just meant it was fresh, which is why I poured it into my storage container and threw away the bag thinking nothing of it. Then my puppy got sick. She had diarrhea for 4 days. I knew it was the food because that is the only change made to her diet. She’s been on Royal Canin since I got her back in February and never had any issues until I bought this most recent bag. For fear that this could happen ... MoreI know Royal Canin is a good food but this bag was no good. Have been buying Royal Canin for our previous Retriever Mix. Always bought this product through a local feed store. When we got a new Bernedoodle puppy I couldn’t find the puppy kibble. So I went to the website, found the medium puppy kibble ordered a bag and I received the shipment the next afternoon. Easy and fastest way to get the special puppy kibble. Thank you Royal Canin for making it so easy.
My Bernedoodle puppy has had loose to runny stools since I picked her up. Tried two other brands of kibble to no avail. Read about this kibble and while extremely pricey decided to try it out and boy am I glad I did. Switched her over gradually over a seven day period and immediately she had firm well formed stools. She also loves the taste and size of the kibble.
I have purchased Royal Canin for many years. Our last golden was on gastrointestinal Royal Canin. Our new puppy is 11 weeks old and is a golden also. Our breeder starts the puppies on Royal Canin and she will remain on this food for life. Only the best for our dogs!!
Second ingredient is chicken fat ? My dog actually doesn't like this food at all. I'm currently changing her over to Purina pro plan which she loves. Regarding the chicken fat I read Alot about bloat in dogs and read the study that was assessing whether soybeans etc contribute to bloat. What they did find was fat listed in the first four ingredients was a contributing factor. There is Alot of misinformation about bloat so I only trust the scientific studies, not anecdotal evidence. Since I have concerns over that, I won't be feeding anymore.
Our vet recommended this food to us for our 5 month old medium puppy. He came to us on Rachel Rays that he actually did quite well on. We tried switching him to this food two separate occasions (very slowly) and both times he had very bad GI upset. Please do your research on dog foods and ingredients. What the vet tells you isn't always the best for your dog. We will be switching to a nutritionist recommended food.
On time delivery! We switched to Royal Canin kidney diet with our last dog when she was diagnosed with kidney problems, she lived it! Unfortunately she lost her battle 25 months after diagnosis. We recently adopted another puppy after a year of mourning and automatically started him on Royal Canin puppy...he loves it!
Our vet recommended this food to us after she found out that our breeder had previously had our doodle puppy on grain-free (which, apparently, is not great for a dog's heart health). We have been slowly switching over to this food. We have been mixing her old food with this food to make it easier on her tummy. And, so far, so good! She seems to love the food (she actually eats the Royal Canin kibble pieces first and leaves her old food in the bowl sometimes)! And I have had other friends tell me that their vet recommends Royal Canin, too! It makes me feel good feeding her this food, knowing that so many vets back this brand!
