Royal Canin Oral Care Is your cat healthy but do its teeth need some additional help? Oral Care from Royal Canin is specifically composed to decrease dental plaque and tartar in adult cats. Dental plaque and tartar are the main causes of oral problems. When dental plaque is not removed, this will lead to the development of tartar. If you do nothing, this will lead to infections and teeth may come loose. You can prevent this by mechanically cleaning the teeth so the formation of dental plaque is prevented. Oral Care has developed kibble with a special structure, size and shape for this purpose. Your cat will effectively be brushing its own teeth through chewing. If your cat already has tartar, please have a veterinarian remove this first. Key features Suitable for adult cats between 1 and 7 years old that need additional support for their teeth Specific nutrients help decrease the formation of dental plaque and tartar up to 59% in 28 days. Stimulates chewing with extra large kibble and special structure. This ensures mechanical cleaning, just like brushing. Contains high-grade proteins that are easily digestible Suitable for Adult cats between 1 and 7 years old for the reduction of dental plaque and tartar Contents 400g, 1.5, 3.5 and 8kg Ingredients Dehydrated poultry proteins, rice, maize, isolate from vegetable protein, animal fats, cornmeal, vegetable fibres, hydrolysate from animal protein, wheat, maize gluten, minerals, beet pulp, fish oil, Fructo-Oligo-Saccarides, soybean oil, phylum husk and phylum seeds.

My beloved rescue cat, Cúchulainn, suffers from dental problems caused by his horrid rough life before I rescued him. This is such a great product because his remaining teeth get a great workout, a good clean, freshened breath and he doesn't choke on the bits of dry food that he can't break up due to his missing teeth. It's also his favourite food to eat! PetPost are amazing & the ONLY place I buy all my kitty needs from. Thank you :)

My cats had teeth problems previously and had a few tooth extracted as well. Was recommended by my vet to find kibble that is good for dental health and found this product. The cats love it! The size of the kibbles are larger and designed better to help with teeth cleaning, haven't had any dental issues since moving to this product

Not worth the money
19 December 2020

My cat has anemia after eating this. This food is good for teeth but not having enough protein. With the same amount of money you can choose other more quality food such as nulo, merrick, tiki cat, wellness, solid gold.My cat is not big eater and he was changed to this food a few months ago recommended by vet. He is eating more wet food after having this kibble so I thought it’s good sign but in fact he is lacking protein. Then all of sudden he starts to pick litter box. I brought him to vet he got anemia. I put him on iron supplement, change his food to wellness and solid gold. After 1 week of change, his blood count is back to normal. He doesn’t even want to touch his old royal canin ever since. Cat is smart that he can select what is good for him.

Perfect balance of size & palatability
22 October 2022

Next to palatability , the size of the biscuit is critical (otherwise what's the point). They have to be big enough to make the cat crunch through them to clean their teeth, but not so big that smaller cats can't get their mouth around them. These are the perfect size for both our small cat and big cat...and they love the taste.

Perfect for oral care and my cats love it
23 December 2021

I have 2 adult cats who are 4 years old and I'm also a foster carer for rescued cats, many of whom a pregnant street cats or surrendered by their owners. For own 2 cats are loving this brand of dental food as a maintenance diet to prevent future issues with their teeth and gums. My adult foster cats often come into care with poor dental health so I include this in their diet along with other dry and wet food. The pieces are large enough for kitties to bite and chew. That's the most important criteria for any dry oral/dental dry food. I recommend this for all adult cats to keep your kitties teeth and gums healthy. All my cats love the taste.

So impressed
12 September 2022

wow i did not think this would work. My cat Lana had pink growth at rhe base of her teeth. Vet suggested I brush her teeth and use dental powder in her food. Needless to say she hated me for trying to brush her teeth. I tried this so she doesn't shredd me. It actually greatly improved her oral condition. She used to have the worst breath. The type that made me dizzy. Now it is almost absent, and i barely used it for a month. Would really recommend!

They eat it like treats!
6 October 2018

We got my ginger cat Brick about a year and a half ago from the Humane Society. They thought he was about 6 years old. The vet, however, took a look at his teeth and told us that based on their wear and tear (and he didn't even mention the bad breath!) that Brick was probably at least 8, and we really needed to watch his dental care as it could cause problems for him down the road. I have my cats on canned food due to other health reasons, but I found the Royal Canin Oral dry food at the store and thought I'd try loading it into their wobble toy to see if they would go for it. It worked! Brick thinks that it is a treat! The pieces are quite large, so he really has to take his time chewing it - which actually helps clean his teeth. The vet has remarked that although his teeth may still have some permanent damage (from being a stray), they are much cleaner now. Plus, Brick's breath doesn't smell like the fish/feet combination it did before, which makes snuggles much nicer. Thanks Royal Canin for making this product!

Vet recommended, enjoyed by the cat.
8 March 2022

The vet told us to get dental-specific food for our 1.5 year old cat as apparently it makes a great difference in the long run with the cats she sees over their lifetime -- we got this Royal Canin product (our first purchase from this brand) and the cat seems to really love it! (Thank goodness as I bought 8kg of it). We feed her this between wet food meals every so often, and she will meow for it often. As for her teeth, well, time will tell. Would recommend.

Worked very well
12 March 2023

Our kitten arrived from a rescue home with such bad gingivitus that the vets suggested removing all his teeth. He always had inflamed gums and disliked having his head touched as it was obviously sensitive - which made brushing/cleaning his teeth and everything else we tried difficult. Although we'd had a cat with no teeth before, and she'd coped well, we wanted to avoid tooth removal if possible and started the Royal Canin Oral about 3 years ago. We occaisionally swap it out for other oral brands, to give him a change , but he seems to love this one and the vet is impressed with the state of his teeth and gums. We have the occaisional flare up, but generally so much better and he is ok with having his head scratched, so seems much happier.
