Ok, so I wasn't sure what was going to be the outcome when I received word that I'd been selected to participate in this Chatterbox. I have four cats, two indoor and two outdoor feral cats who have adopted our porch as home. My oldest cat is finicky to say the least. She will not eat any wet food ever and she will only eat one particular brand of dry food. She's been that way for 8 years. My second indoor cat is a male who we rescued almost 2 years ago and he is FIV+ so he needs special care to maintain a good immune system. My 2 outdoor boys need all the help they can get and since I can't bring them inside with the others, we make sure their nutritional needs are met so they can survive the great outdoors as well as possible. When I received the box, the delivery guy had left it on the porch. My outdoor cats were already all over the box, anxiously awaiting me to open it so they could get to what was inside. Inside, my two cats were instantly curious and ready for me to open the box. All 4 cats were highly attracted to the smell and could not wait to receive the food, thinking they were "treats." Needless to say, you couldn't keep them away from their bowls when I gave them each a generous scoop! Even the finicky eater didn't hesitate to chow down! And my two indoor cats that NEVER eat at the same time because they can't stand to be in the same room together, ate Royal Canin from their bowls side by side, without a care in the world of the other one being by their side! I'd say this cat food is a huge hit, not only for the nutritional care, the smell and the taste, but also for bringing cats together peacefully! I have to give this food a perfect rating and recommend it to all my cat friends. Cats can't lie and there's no denying that they loved every bit of it!

I have been feeding this product to a 11 year old male and a 2 year old female. Both seem to enjoy the product and neither turned their nose up. Just by happenstance as my cats were trying this product, their automated feeder went off. Usually they sprint towards the bowl when they hear that unmistakable sound. But they were enjoying their Royal Canin food so much they didn't budge when the other food was dispensed. That is a sure attestation that they thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of this product. As for the product packaging , I love the resealable bag. The freshpack seal ensures that crunchy texture my cats enjoy will last until the very bottom of the bag. The bag also gives a lot of information on general pet nutrition and feeding that I liked. However, as I am a label reader, I was slightly concerned that the primary first ingredients in this product are corn, wheat gluten and meal, rather than protein like I generally look for in my pet foods. #Sponsored #RoyalCaninPack

A bit of research determined that other than some base ingredients (chicken/beef/lamb/etc) the core "difference" between standard cat food and urinary tract style is more or less the reduction/elimination of magnesium. It sits squarely at the intersection of value and performance as all three of my cats have been on this particular food for several years now and are as healthy as ever. The one that was prone to crystals forming in its bladder (ie the 2000 dollar cat) has not occurred since and shows no signs of recurrence in subsequent visits. **I recommend that pet owners always consult their veterinarian to determine the right formula for their pets**

Kitties Thriving on this Food!
26 November 2021

First, getting past the controversy of grains in pet food is a must as this food contains corn. I finally decided to trust my vet, my instinct and research and my kitties. Here’s what I know: my male neutered cat, who had developed crystals in his bladder, is now thriving on this food (dry kibble) with no symptoms at all. His littermate (no urinary issues) is also doing well on this food. It is recommended by my veterinarian, whom I trust. There was no difficulty getting my cats trained to this food and they had already rejected several others. My cats tell me it tastes great!

My cat loves it! Please make a wet food too!
20 June 2020

I purchased this for my boy cat, who was recently diagnostic with lower urinary tract disease in March. After starting a prescription diet, he had a few days' relief, then the urinary issues would flare up for a few days, then subside again. This went on for a month. He was prescribed Royal Canin s/o and Science Diet c/d by his vet. He likes both brands' wet foods, and liked the dry c/d at first, but stopped eating it half way through the bag. I didn't want to invest in Royal Canin's rx dry food, just to give away a whole bag of expensive food (like I did the c/d). I saw this on the shelf at Pet Smart few weeks back, and the price was surprising affordable. I purchased the small 3 lb bag, and figured I wasn't investing much if he stopped eating it. To my surprise, he loves it! He finishes his small bowl by the end of the day, and I give him a little for his midnight snacking. He loves the s/d wet food as well, and has had absolutely no urinary issues since switching over to this dry food. He had no issues with the food upsetting his stomach, either. He's drinking more water. His clumps are large and round, and there's no straining to urinate, and no sad meows after using his litter box. I purchased the Royal Canin prescription urinary treats, and he gobbles them up. I'm so happy with the urinary health kibble, I purchased him a larger bag today. I would love for a wet version of this particular food, as well, since he seems to love the taste of the s/d so much. Hopefully RC continues to add to their urinary line. Since water intake is so important, a gravy or broth would be a great addition, too.

Picky Cats Gobble Up Royal Canin Urinary Care Food
28 September 2020

I have two cats and they are picky eaters - they're so picky, they don't like eating human food and one won't eat any cat treats. So, switching cat foods is always a roll of the dice with my feline fur-kids. But, that's what I did when I received a free sample of ROYAL CANIN Urinary Care Cat Food by participating in a Ripple Street Chatterbox. Both cats were curious about the sample bag and rubbed against it, as if they knew something tasty was inside. To my pleasant surprise, they both gobbled up their portions. With one of my cats (the one pictured), we've been having litterbox issues recently. I haven't taken her to the vet yet, however, after a week of feeding her this food, there haven't been any issues so fingers crossed that switching foods is positive ... MoreI have two cats and they are picky eaters - they're so picky, they don't like eating human food and one won't eat any cat treats. Reading up on the food, it's for all cats because it has a balanced nutritional diet that maintains urinary health. I'm happy they're happy which makes the whole household a happy place to be. If you're looking for a happy kitty, I recommend looking into ROYAL CANIN Urinary Care Cat Food. Although I received the complimentary food to sample, opinions are my own. #RoyalCaninPack #Sponsored

She LOVES it!!
19 August 2022

My senior cat (F, 16YO) is on a special urinary formula diet. Ive tried and wasted money on so many different dry foods to give her and she’s turned her nose up at pretty much everything else. As soon as I opened the bag, she snuggled up in curiosity. I poured a little sample in her bowl, expecting it to be ignored. She walked right over and chowed down!! I am so happy she likes this food. She’s so tiny and I get worried that the wet food I give her is not enough. I can rest easy knowing she is getting the tailored nutrition she needs and is a happy cat during mealtime!

My cat has had two serious episodes of UTI this year which seemed to clear with antibiotics from the vets, but he still never seemed quite right. I decided after the last episode to try this dry food and within a week I noticed a massive improvement, he doesn't have too much and also has his usual gourmet wet food. He has been drinking a lot more, as that's always been an issue, and obviously using his letter tray frequently. His coat is beautiful and shiny and he seems so much brighter, so I intend to keep him on this. I would recommend it if your cat gets UTIs

WHEW!! My cat loved this new dry food to her diet
11 February 2023

Cats can be so food-exacting and it's always a challenge to see if my cat will eat/ore not new food. She has loved both prescription and non-prescription. As I opened the big bag and the fragrance of the dry food drew her. I placed a few on the floor and she gobbled them up. This has happened for 2 different Royal Canin dry cat foods (so far and to my huge relief). The food supply-chain crunch is scary and I hope that it, soon, resolves itself.

Worked great until ingredients were changed during
11 January 2022

We have used Royal Canine urinary care for our male cat for over 10 years after he had stones. It kept him healthy! During Covid we got a bag of the Royal Canine he had always eaten and he wouldn’t touch it!! We found out through our Vet Clinic that ingredients had been changed. We had to go to a different brand during Covid. We now have tried it again and they must have gone back to previous formula. The price has gone up over $35.00 a bag and this is unaffordable for many pet owners! Not at all happy with companies taking full advantage of raising prices!!!!
