Composed of highly digestible, hydrolysed soy protein which is less likely to be recognised as an allergen by the body and is highly digestible. Together, this reduces the overall risk of an adverse food reaction. It is suitable for food elimination trials in dogs and puppies. Contains a patented skin barrier complex comprising four B-group vitamins (pantothenic acid, inositol, niacin and choline) and one amino acid (histidine). The patented skin barrier complex increases ceramide synthesis which strengthens the skin barrier and reduces transepidermal water loss.

After being diagnosed as having colitis we put our Cockapoo puppy on a different hypoallergenic food which worked for a few weeks then his upset tummy returned. The vet suggested Royal Canin which also showed great promise. He has just had another flare up so we will have to see how he settles when his antibiotics are done. The food is very greasy and he seems to spend quite a lot of time cleaning his face. Initially he began paw chewing but this seems to have settled. He is very thirsty. Despite being advised that some dogs find it unpalatable he loved it at first though he seems not so keen now. As he is still only a puppy I contacted the nutritionists at royal canin and they were not particularly helpful if I'm honest. Not much enthusiasm to say the least. The speed of delivery was excellent. Came before the date specified and well packed. I bought it on recommendation from my vet as my dog has bad, intermittent diarrhea. Product look fine (although expensive) but unfortunately my dog doesn't like it at all and she usally eats anytthing you put in front of her.I have had to resort to putting a very small bit of cheese or fish to get her to eat it! Other people may not have this problem, of course. Quality is good and, to me, smells fine.

Our allergic dog has been on this food since he was a puppy and it's the absolute best! If we've ever run out and had to use anything else his allergies flare up. This food definitely keeps things in check and keeps our pup happy! Worth the price because it also lasts a really long time given the high quality of Royal Canin's ingredients and nutrients.
This dog food was recommended by the vet as 2 of our dogs have very sensitive stomachs. Our eldest has had colitis since he was a puppy so he has to have a very strict diet and this does the job of keeping him well. He needs a low protein diet and this food provides that, it's also low fat which suits our youngest dogs needs.
This good is brilliant. After a few years of trying different dog foods that hopefully suited my dog I was told to try Royal Canin by my vet. After several weeks on this he is a different dog...no chewing feet and vigorously scratching at the back of his ears. Happy Dog. ๐
Miracle cure!My poor boy has suffered with severe digestive (and other allergy-related) problems since he was a puppy. Tried him on just about every diet going (other sensitive and hypoallergenic ranges, raw, grain-free, home-cooked, etc.) and nothing worked. The vet eventually suggested we try this and within a few days his digestive issues settled down dramatically. He's been on this food for almost 2 years now and, although he's still sick on occasion, he is 100% better than he was before. It seems as if my little pooch is unable to digest protein properly (hence some of the other hypo and bland diets not working) so it's really the hydrolysed protein in this that makes it work for him. Just be aware it can make the poop a horrible yellow colour - but apparently that's nothing to worry about!
After years of trying different dry foods, adding probiotics and skin powders, Apoquel tablets alon with Zyrtec and eventually Cytopoint injections, my Jack Russell cross dog Buster has improvement in his skin condition. He is not biting at his paws so much and the redness is improving. This is after only 4 days of this product. I highly recommend it!
