I have three small dogs, 1 x male Shih Tzu crossed with Yorkshire Terrier, 1 x male Shih Tzu crossed with Toy Poodle and 1 x female Maltese. They are very prone to teeth and gum problems but they love crunching on these biscuits, I first bought the smaller version of the dental food for small breeds but they were too tiny and they were swallowing them whole, which defeats the purpose of the food. So I bought this food which is for slightly larger breed dogs. Because the biscuit size is larger it means they have to use their teeth to crunch it up before swallowing and that is when they help to clean the teeth and agitate the gums. I just add a couple of teaspoons of dog meat in gravy to the biscuits and mix them together and my dogs empty their bowls every night. ... MoreI have three small dogs, 1 x male Shih Tzu crossed with Yorkshire Terrier, 1 x male Shih Tzu crossed with Toy Poodle and 1 x female Maltese. Have been using this now for quite a few years and they still love it. It's also very good for them nutritionally. Mine are fed once a day and they are very happy content doggies! :)

Having tried the smaller bags, I ordered this 6kg bag but found the size of the biscuits too big. The dogs don't mind them but the mess they leave behind means alot goes to waste and my floors are trashed. I'm sure they are great for their teeth as they can't just hoover them up off the plate. They need to chew quite hard to break them up. (My dogs are 13 and 24kgs.) I probably won't reorder, I'll stick to the smaller size ones.

My dog has some teeth issue because he doesn't chew and swallow foods straight away. Then vets suggested me to try this product because the texture of the food would help cleaning their teeth. After buying, because the food is quite big and hard, my dog has to really chew it before swallow. we have only tried it for 1 month so far, but believing it is working because his mouth doesn't smell anymore.

Vet recommended this to keep our elderly dog's teeth and gums in better condition. Teeth are whiter and no more unpleasant dog breath.
My dog used to have the RC food for sensitive stomachs (we found the cheaper ones gave him a rather unstable stomach) but when he started to get tartar buildup on his teeth we tried this food. He has now been on this food for about 4 months, he likes it and it has had no adverse effect on his digestion, At his last check-up the vet thought that his teeth seemed better. We have since had his teeth scaled (while he was under anaesthetic for something else) and I'm hoping that this food will help to keep his teeth clean. Regarding some reviewers saying their dog can't chew this kibble, my dog is a Kerry Blue (medium sized terrier) and the kibble pieces are easily manageable for him - about 2cm by 2cm by 1cm at their fattest. I envisage keeping him on this kibble ... MoreMy dog used to have the RC food for sensitive stomachs (we found the cheaper ones gave him a rather unstable stomach) but when he started to get tartar buildup on his teeth we tried this food. My labradoodle loves this kibble and keeps her teeth clean. Used the product for many years and better than others tried.
The only thing good about this product is that my dog likes to eat it. I switched from the other leading dental diet to this as my dog didn't enjoy eating the other brand that much, but I will be switching back as the other one worked amazingly, but this one hasn't helped at all and my dog's teeth are back to poor health after a few months on this brand.
I have found feeding Royal Canin to be very beneficial and her breathe is so much better when she’s on Royal Canin and she has more energy than other dogs (15.) the same age. My Son and I will have missed her very much
I bought this on advice from my vet to try and combat plaque & gum issues in my 5 year old jug given it's very difficult to clean dog's teeth with a toothbrush. After just a few weeks I've already noticed a difference! Ruby's teeth look cleaner and her breath as a result is so much better! Well recommended product!
I asked the dog and he woofed which I assumed meant he liked it. Dog doesn't do money so "value for money" is irrelevant. "Quality" seems consistent, and for "Tastiness" he licked his lips, so I suppose the pet's opinion was overall pretty good. The dog only has this product and is now 11 yrs old so nutritional value must be fine. I suppose the dog wouldn't recommend it to a friend unless it was a cat and he had priority at dinner time.
