It's a dry food I buy for my two older Maine Coon Cats. It was recommended by my vet, and the cats both seem to like it over other food I have occasionally tried to give them. We get through a 10kg bag about every 5 weeks.

My 11year old overweight cat has been on this for a number of months. He seems to have lost a little weight even though he enjoys tucking into his food, his coat has a lovely sheen and he is in generally in good health.

I have been feeding my senior cat with this product for years and he is now 15. This is my go to brand and it is great value for money. It comes in a zip bag to keep the dry food fresh. The only comment I have is that the supplier can improve the packaging for delivery to prevent any damage during transportation.

Does what it says on the tin. My cats enjoy the food, it seems to last a while, seems to remain fresh too, I just decant some into a Tupperware tub and the remainder in the bag which I push the air out and seal myself. "motions" are solid and healthy. I changed to this brand a while ago with no issues.
My 13 year old cat never leaves any at all. Used this product for at least 7 years. Previously for younger cats then went onto mature. Great value, lasts at least a month. That's £4 per week
Our vet put my boy on this food as he was showing the first signs of kidney issues in blood works. He has been on this food since diagnosis and it has taken some time but now his blood work is back in normal range again and he only needs yearly bloods, not 6 monthly. It has certainly assisted.Oh and they love it too.
I was so hopeful for this product. My 16yr female won't eat it and my 15yr male eats it( not guzzling) but throws it all up within a few minutes. Mixed it with previous dry food but still same result.
Our rescue cat was aged anywhere between 3-5 when we adopted her 7 years ago and had resorptive dental lesions and only has about 5 teeth left with 4 more being removed right after we adopted her. Likely malnutrition played a part. We have fed her Young Adult Female food ever since we got her, and she did not have any further health problems. We have just switched to this. She LOVES it. She cannot crunch food but swallows biscuits whole - the vet said they will digest in her stomach. These biscuits are small, and very easy for her to eat and she is very keen for her meals. A nice change since she was getting less enthusiastic about the other biscuits unless we put wet food on to soften them up.
I was unsure about these. After my vet recommended my 12yr old male cat needed to go onto them, As his kneecap was misshaped and not locking correctly, so he needed to lose weight, to take some of that weight off his poorly knees.I bought 1.5kg bag off the vet.And to my complete dismay, ALL THREE CATS ABSOLUTELY LOVED THESE CAT BISCUITS.They all usually have "posh taste" and only eat purina one biscuits or james wellbeloved.so I was rreally pleased they all enjoyed these.I have two slightly overweight cats.My 12yr old mate with the poorly knee, He lost 5lb in 4 weeks just by being on these diet biscuits.Stage 1 balance.I then ordered the largest size 10kg bagAnd it lasted forever.I have only just finished it off now and have come back to order more for ... As they are expensive biscuits to buy especially if your cat doesnt like them, Although judging from how my cats reacted to them, Id say these are a winner :)
i have been feeding this along with senior stage 2 and wet food for over 20 yrs to my cats when they get older. all my cats are under a local vet and this was first recommended by themselves. its a superb balanced diet and no need to worry about it going rank over a few days if they dont finish their bowl. would recommend this and all other royal canin products to anyone but please be careful to consult vet first to ascertain correct food for your babies.

Royal Canin Veterinary Mature Consult Cat Dry Food 1.5kg
At about 7 years of age, cats’ nutritional requirements change. Some senior cats, for example can start to show visible signs of ageing early - such as osteoarthritis, kidney disease and behavioural changes. Others may age slower and won’t show obvious signs of ageing as quickly. It’s important, therefore, to be aware of your cat’s individual needs and to provide your pet with nutrition that’s precisely suited to help maintain ideal body condition and health. The clinical signs of ageing are often hidden in cats so make sure you consult with your veterinarian on a regular basis. Mature Consult range is designed to provide your cat with the optimum diet as he or she reaches more advanced stages of life.
