I love every product I’ve purchased from Ruffwear and these booties are no exception! Readers of bad reviews beware: some people who purchased these did not read or understand the very clear description that lets consumers know that this item is sold in pairs of 2 and pairs of 4! If you go to the Ruffwear website, they provide multiple well written articles about how to measure your dog’s paws and explain that front and back paws are usually not the same size. These boots are beautiful, breathable, and well crafted. Once your dog gets comfortable with them and if you’ve sized them properly, they are wonderful and so cute!

My Siberian doesn't love having us mess with his feet, but the old guy's hind claws are getting badly worn down. Previous booties barely made it out the door before he was able to fling them off. Or else he'd refuse to walk altogether. Our vet recommended these trail shoes. And your website recommended pairing them with your socks, which has made it super easy to get the booties on and they almost always stay on! We've worn them on both pavement and icy trails. They also hand wash easily and dry fast. Extremely pleased with these!

Picked up the blue pair for our 11 year old, senior chocolate lab Maggie. Wanted to give her some more grip on our hardwood floors due to arthritis in her hips. She was slipping lately. Liked the fact that the product was described as having grip, but with good ground feel and looked to me to be better at handling damp conditions. These are very easy to take off and put on and are doing the trick nicely. She is more stable and very stylish with her new blue shoes! Thanks for a great product.

These fit a little differently than the Grip Trex boots, the don’t come up so high on the leg. It’s works better for my 40lb smaller size GSP with dew claws, because the dew claws are safely above the Velcro strap and not underneath the strap like on the Grip Trex. They’re my dogs new favorite boots. My only minor gripe is that they seem to have a lot of extra width at the top compared to the Grip Trex, so you really need to cinch the Velcro down more than you would on the Grip Trex if you want to get a secure hold and proper fit on the paws or they’re going to slide down the paw or even fall off.
These trail shoes have really helped my beloved 14.5 year old Belgian Mal mix, Boom. He is experiencing some hind leg weakness and sometimes his back feet slip and he splays on my hardwoods. These shoes have given him the extra grip to feel more secure walking across the floor or down the stairs onto the hardwoods, and they have really reduced any slipping. it was a very easy transition to get him comfortable in them, and only took a few short sessions following Ruffwear guidance. Now he doesn't notice them at all. Great, high quality, comfortable boot!
I bought these for my guide dog to wear during the summer because I thought they might keep him cooler compared to the other Grip Trek Ruffwear shoes we usually use. The fabric is definitely lighter. These don't stay on quite as well as the other Grip Trek shoes and the sizing seems for the Hi and Light Trail shoes seems to run larger. The fabric is definitely lighter so we will use these for city travel in the summer and when hiking. The soles are stiff/rigid just like the Grip Trek shoes which is great for use on escalators. We will stick with Grip Trek shoes when it is not hot because they do seem to stay on better.

The outer grip seems very resistant for any abrasion. As for the top fabric it seems to be very comfortable and breathable. Personally I didn’t go full into the details of the interior of the boots but they seem to be okay. I wasn’t impressed on the inside structure of the boot. It appeared to be quite hard. I figured it would have some support but it didn’t have any. Possibly the boot is best to be worn with the sock that is sold on the website. I had tried ordering several pair of different shoes and they just didn’t fit. Either too big or too small and all the same size. But my dog’s front paws are larger than his rear. So I finally got smart and got Ruffwear Hi & Light trail shoes. You buy them by the pair so one size for front and one for rear. They’re perfect!!! The how to measure and size your dogs paws video made it so easy to do. Got them quickly, just in time for a hot weather trip. I needed a new lighter, cooler shoe for hot or rough surfaces and these work great. Highly recommend!!!
These shoes are saving my dogs feet! My 46lb Frenchton has skinny little legs for his size. I measured front and back paws. Absolutely perfect! Put the shoes on him. Didn’t really think it would work. My dog LOVES his shoes! We live in apartments near Dallas Tx with very hot pavement. These little shoes allow him to go with me outside. Best dog shoes on the market! Worth every penny!!
I've been using your Ruffwear shoes for my dog for about 11 years now. We have been extremely pleased with them over the years. I was expecting the same quality shoe, as I needed to replace her old shoes. The velcro on the old shoes are completely gone. The problem that I'm having with the new ones is that they are too short for her long foot. Because of this, the strap goes around her paw joint and they slip right off her feet. Sizing by measuring the width of her paws is right, but again they are just too short. I tried to keep a close eye on them and if I noticed one had fallen off of her paw I would backtrack and find it. But unfortunately I was not able to find one of them so I am not able to return them to you.
