Linguine pasta is a type of Italian pasta that is long and flat in shape. It is similar to spaghetti but wider and elliptical in cross-section. The name linguine comes from the Italian word lingua, which means tongue, as the pasta resembles a small tongue shape. Linguine is commonly made from durum wheat semolina, which gives it a firm texture and allows it to hold sauces well. It is often served with seafood or pesto-based sauces, as its shape and texture make it perfect for capturing and holding onto the flavors of the sauce. When cooking linguine, it is important to use a large pot of salted boiling water to prevent the pasta from sticking together. Linguine typically takes around 8-10 minutes to cook until al dente, which means it is still firm to the bite. Linguine can be paired with a variety of ingredients and flavors. It goes well with creamy sauces, such as Alfredo or carbonara, as well as tomato-based sauces like marinara or arrabbiata. It is also delicious when tossed with olive oil, garlic, and fresh herbs for a simple yet flavorful dish. Due to its versatility, linguine is a popular choice for many Italian pasta dishes. It can be used in traditional recipes or adapted to create new and innovative dishes. Its shape and texture make it a favorite among pasta lovers and a staple in Italian cuisine.

This linguine not only makes great pasta, we also use it for noodle dishes as it has the best texture, doesn't get slimy and fall apart and soaks up all the flavours. We like it so much we buy it in bulk to make sure we never run out!

I have tried many different pasta products over the years and I can honestly saythis has to be the best .I have bought many shapes from this small artisan company and it really is so much better than the vast makes we have tried.

Rummo pasta is the best
28 April 2020

Rummo is the best pasta, almost difficult not to cook right. Once you try this you won't want to buy any other brand. Great with just prawns, rocket, garlis and chilli flakes.
