I absolutely love this kettle. It's so sleek and stylish and looks great in my kitchen. The chrome effect with the glass looks so classy, and I love the fact that it's illuminated as it boils. It boils alot quicker than my old kettle, therefore saving me more electricity. The Brita filter, much to my surprise, really does make a difference. You can taste, and see, the difference between the Brita filtered water and the non filtered standard kettles. No more scummy bits floating in my cups of tea! I highly recommend this kettle.

Much smarter and more elegant than the cheaper plastic BRITA model also by Russell Hobbs, no. 22851. The LEDs aren't too garish. The kettle is a little heavy, but that's unavoidable given the weight of the glass, although means the model probably isn't suitable for vulnerably weak people. Otherwise, really great. Water doesn't take long to drain from the hopper, boiling time is good, and I'm reassured by the warranty period - extendable for free if you register on the Russell Hobbs website.

Works well if you want to filter water before boiling it. This has replaced a separate water filter and kettle as we had both on the worktop. Much prefer having it all in one item.Looks simple and not fancy, which we wanted.Only slight negative is it’s a smaller capacity than our previous kettles (because it has filter), so if we’re making lots of cups of tea for guests we sometimes have to boil kettle more than once.I’d recommend this item.
I was surprised but how this changed the taste of my tea for the better compared with my old kettle. The boil is quiet and the water pours out smoothly so low risks of splashes.As you pour the cold water into the filter it does filter quiet slowly so if you have to fill it all the way to the top for a few cups of tea it will take a few more minutes than a standard kettle. The filtered water does make the tea taste better and more pure. At the top of a kettle is an indicator which tells you when you need to change the filter which is handy which works out to be about once a month.I would definitely recommend this kettle if you want the best tasting tea.
Absolutely love this kettle! Really cool! Love a glass kettle and the blue lights make it look great! Looks really smartI have hard water so get a lot of lime scale so hoping this will help with that, so far so good!Only issue is the filter means that you can only slightly fill the kettle each time, as you need to let the water drain though, maybe the filter could of been placed lower so that the kettle can be filled more …So a tad annoying when you want to make more than 2 small cups but otherwise fab!
This is the 3rd time we have bought this same model of kettle over the last decade. What I love most is that the brita hoppa is removable so if you need to boil a large amount of water (more than 2 cups) you can lift it out so there is no contact with the plastic when boiling. Also you can start boiling without waiting for all of the unfiltered water to pass through. Its probably wiser to have a seperate Brita jug and top up the kettle with this when you need it but this built-in format suits us better when sharing a kettle with others.
Excellent kettle we went for the glass version as there are already enough impurities being put into our water. Very simple to use and with the cup levels on the side of the kettle it is easy to fill to what you want and not keep heating up excess water. If you have scummy water in your area and drink tea without milk you no longer get the scum on top of your cup of tea. This is not the only advantage your tea does actually taste better for being filtered. Bought at a good price very good value. We should have done this years ago.
I live in a hard water area and have always liked glass kettles. Now it seems I can have one as this kettle filters the water. The insertion of the filter was straight forward as the instructions were clear. Although there is a slight delay between adding the water and putting the kettle on - as the water needs to be filtered, this is very minimal. I am probably more aware now only to put in the amount of water needed into the kettle too so this will reduce energy costs. I am delighted that I won’t be descaling a kettle every few weeks. The kettle itself is very attractive and functional. The water is easy to pour in and out and I enjoy seeing the water bubbling.
Great to have filter within the kettle. It has a stylish appearance and boils quickly. The downside is that the filter hopper only really provides enough water for one mug but it does run through quickly enough to refill the hopper again. The kettle is quite heavy and you need to get used to tipping the boiling water out at quite a steep angle. Overall a good purchase
