Russell Hobbs 27030 Medium Rice Cooker Steamer Basket 300 W

From the photographs added to the item is showing 16 portions however the description of the item is saying 6 portions. I have order this for 35 pounds and is barely 4 portions inside when you cook. Is very tiny!! The same product for 35 pounds is normally the 2.2 L and is 16 portions this website unfortunately is over pricing this item which is normally 15-20 pounds. Very disappointed when it arrived and is as small as a pot for one portion if you are a big person…. Maximum 5 big spoons of rice inside, very very tiny not value for money at all I need to cook 4 times to be able to make 3 4 meals prep…

Amazing fluffy rice

This literally cooks your rice to perfection! I’ve never been able to cook rice however this allows me to with no effort. I’ve found that there is always more than enough for our family of 4 and left overs too! I love the clever feature of being able to rest the lid on the side of the pot allowing it to be out of the way whilst you dish up! My favourite feature is the keep warm feature as it’s automatic so your rice does not overcook. You only need to add the rice and correct amount of water and switch it on it’s completely effortless!

Can Be Used For More Than Just Rice!

I thought this would be a great economical way to make rice and it does cost less to run than my electric hob. Convenient

The Russell Hobbs rice cooker comes with a steamer basket, spoon and measuring cup. It has modern design and looks nice in my kitchen. It is simple to use, no mess or spitting and cooks perfect rice. The non-stick removable inner bowl means that rice won't sticks to it and makes washing easier. The Russell Hobbs rice cooker also has automatic keep warm function to keep the rice warm for a longer period of time. Overall, a great rice cooker, looks modern and works as it should, however, for a medium sized rice cooker, it is smaller than expected and this would only serve 2 adults in my household.

Decent rice cooker

This is a decent rice cooker, but I think it is more likely a small size for up to 4 servings, not 6 as described. It does cook the rice very well in 15 minutes and it doesn't stick to the pot. I like the idea of having the little steaming pot where I can steam anything I want. It is easy to clean. The idea of having the cover attached to the handle is clever, but all the water will be leaking over the cooker. One thing that I don't like it is that the cable is not at the back of the cooker, but it is on the right side which is a bit unpractical.

Essential item to have!

I have never owned a rice cooker before and just used the traditional way of cooking rice. To my surprise it was easy to cook the rice in what looks like something complicated. It was very easy to use, efficient and so convenient! I cant believe I didn't think to have a rice cooker before.The rice cooks quickly, and the rice cooker is a neat looking thing! I absolutely would recommend this item to rice eaters and even if you're not much of a rice eater it will still work wonders on those rare occasions!

Great rice cooker for family of seven

This is the first time I have tired Russell hobb rice cooker. The rice cooker is very cool. The design of the rice cooker is simple but effective in cooking rice swiftly for a family of seven members. Russell hobb rice cooker comes with large spoon, measuring cup and manual instructions. It is little small than expected for medium size rice cooker. I can cook three cups of rice which only last for lunch.

Perfect size for a family of 3. We eat rice at least once a day and we only ever cook 2 cups similar size to the cup provided in the set so this is perfect. There’s always a bit left for fried rice the next day. It’s very easy to operate and clean. You can leave it and just come back when you are ready to eat without overcooking and it stays warm. Takes 20mins to cook and no more disaster. We use jasmine rice and find that I have to add a few more drops of water cos we prefer our rice really moist and soft. The marker is hard to see but once you do it all the time, you will know the amount of water you need by heart. It’s very convenient to use than cooking in a pan on the induction hob which was a hit and miss and we really had to keep attended. Highly recommend for regular rice eaters. Since moving here in the UK from an Asian country where this is a must-have kitchen appliance, I’ve been looking for one but couldn’t find the perfect size and simplicity like we had back home everytime we shopped. This is really the best I’ve found and used. If they have this in black or grey, I would probably get it to match our other kitchen appliance.

Small but easy to use

This rice cooker is small but caters for plenty of rice! It easily cooks 5 portions. The operation of the cooker is also very easy, one push of the button and it’s on and it will keep the rice warm once it’s done. It’s also a stylish device. On the other hand, it does not cook rice as well as larger cookers and I have found that it asks for too much water as per instructions making the rice very sticky and impossible to separate. If you like sticky rice it is very good for maybe making sushi.

perfect rice

i recently used this rice cooker for the first time and am shocked how good the rice was, it has to be the easiest rice ive ever made and the best tasting. super simple it comes with everything u need including a measuring cup to measure the rice and a stirring spoon. Just add the rice to the pot fill water to required line and then turn on. Light indicator signals the rice is cooked. Also has a steamer plate with is pefect for veg and again super easy to use. perfect size for my family. would highly recommend
