Although the charge is fast, you need to constantly put in down.Most important point to notice is the rechargeable battery.Now long will it last before it needs replacing.Does one need to buy a replacement battery just like a cordless drill when battery dies from too many charges?Does one need to buy a new iron?These are the questions that have me worried as I've now spent the money.

I appreciate the chance to have tried a new product from Russell Hobbs.I really liked the idea of the cordless iron, that was the first thing that caught my eye!Secondly, was the really fast 5 second recharge! No need to wait for the iron to heat up. The high power of heat that is expressed from the iron is very good, therefore you do not need to start with a high setting. The same way it charges quickly, it also irons a fabric very quickly too!Easy to use instructions and seems durable.Highly recommend this cordless iron for anyone that is constantly ironing regularly. Very handy and worth the product!

I appreciate that it feels heavier and sturdier. Additionally, it includes a useful feature in the form of a light that alerts me when the temperature is too low or if there isn't enough power, reminding me to turn it off. The light continues to shine when the power is on. Moreover, it emits an audible beep if the temperature drops too low while I am ironing. The problem being it happens too often so I'm having to place it back and wait multiple times when ironing more than 2-3 shirts.

It is difficult to see in poor lighting with the dark colour scheme of this iron.
I was excited to purchase this as the reviews I read were great. Firstly the water nozzle did not work, which was frustrating but OK. Secondly the time the iron remains hot is only 10 or so seconds and then takes another 11 second to reheat (the website notes 5 seconds) so you can't even iron one area of a shirt before having to put it back on the charger. Perhaps if it's on a low setting then maybe it is 5 but I iron business shirts so my ironing now definitely takes longer than it did before. As for the actual irons performance, it glides well and easily irons out wrinkles.
Difficult to use, manual not clear on how to set temperature. There are no indications of where to set the temperature control dial to. If I wanted it on max setting, does the word Max go up the top? To the side? On the bottom? Every other iron I use from other brands have a line showing where you need to set a dial to. There's nothing on this iron, nor in the manual. Useless instruction just say 'set iron to desired temp' without showing how you need to position the dial! Useless. Will be returning as i cant use it and have gone back to my old iron, which has a clear line showing where to line the temp dial up to so you know what temp you had selected.
I bought this today and loved the design and weight of the product. Followed directions exactly and was very disappointed with how often it has to sit on the base. I am a fast ironer and thought without a cord would be so convenient. NOT SO! I couldn't iron one item without having to charge it approximately 5 times. It needs charging after 20 seconds and takes 8 seconds to charge. I love the idea, but it needs to last longer than 20 seconds. Going back to a cord.

I bought this iron two weeks ago (Canberra HS) thinking the detached stand would mean the iron itself would not be too heavy to lift up and down for myself as an older person. The really BIG disappointment was the time I had to wait for recharging - after ironing just one trouser leg with two passes the beeping starting at the stand and the red light came on. After having to wait again for the green light to come on, again it only gave me the time to iron one shirt sleeve before the beeping and red light started. This iron design is faulty. The other problem is that the dark plastic tank prevents seeing how much water is in the tank. Please replace this for me with a corded model.
