I spent considerable time researching this model and loved the features. At least 3 different sellers said it was dishwasher safe or had dishwasher-safe parts. Given there were only 3 things in the box and the main unit can't get wet, I presumed these parts must be the cooking pot and lid. So I purchased the cooker only to read the instruction booklet and find out I can't put the pot in the dishwasher. I'm so annoyed. I had a meal all prepped to go in, which didn't happen. Now I have to find another one. I wish they got their facts right. I haven't tested it so I am not sure how good it cooks.

I have been using this model - with the non-stick pan - for a couple of years and I absolutely love it. So great to be able to brown the meat in the same dish before popping the meal on to slow cook. I also use the inner pan for a few other quick cook items like dumplings that would usually make a mess in a pan, but you can quickly saute and use the lid to steam and then fry without any splatter. (I have also put the inner pan into our dishwasher on the top shelf for as long as I have had it, and it seems fine.)

I love my new Russell Hobbs slow cooker, I have never owned a slow cooker. I recently made a curry with a cheaper cut of meat and it was amazing how tender it was. The searing feature is a winner as I was able to cook the onions, ginger and spices together before adding the meat as I would do if cooking on the stove top. I live with stand alone power so the slow cooker saves on power and as my stove is gas, it saves on that too! I also like the simplicity of the controls, its a no fuss cooker and all I need. It's a winner, very pleased with my purchase!

Had worn out our smaller slow cooker. Saw great reviews on this one, great choice. Love the added feature of searing before the cooking. Easy ordering, great price with quick delivery. Love it!!
Read the description well. I didnt or must have missed something but I wanted slow cooker that you can sear the meat inside the pot - inside the slow cooker. This version you can wear in the pot on the stove. Still works like any other slow cooker
I bought this thinking it had the sear function but actually, it doesnt - the product just allows you to remove the bowl and cook in that on the stove top, before reinserting the base onto the unit and switching to low or high cook. This is ok, but not what I envisioned when I bought it to replace a previous unit that had exactly that capability. That said, the precious unit didnt last long and my hubby thinks part of the reason is the fact it has the sear function - it was designed to do both in theory but in practice, its a lot to ask of a daily simple appliance. Maybe the Russell Hobbs one will outlast for that reason aloneearly days yet, I guess Ill get used to it, it looks good and is very easy to use, and light to carry, happy thanksgiving Ott it for the price.
The searing feature is great for preparation before slow cooking. Useful also for heating liquid by adding when on stove. The temp settings on the cooker are a little low. Low is very low, and High is moderate at best. Good for long slow cooking, not 2 hours if thats what youre expecting.
Great slow cooker for a couple. It easily has the capacity for cooking for four. This slow cooker is a beauty and for the price is just terrific. I've cooked some beautiful casseroles in it and it cooks a roast to perfection. The searing capability browns the roast beautifully.
Great product. Love the fact that I can Brown the meat on the stove (hob) on the cooker & then just lift it all into the main chamber and slow cook away. Also dishwasher proof & I've popped it in the fridge many occasions. Looking at extending the time on slow cook from 6hrs to 8plus! Great for an Irish Lamb Stew or slow cooked beef. Highly recommended.

This cooker did not get hot enough to boil and simmer any liquid .The two meals started in it (one being Corned Beef which I always cooked this way before ) were undercooked and had to be finished off on the stove top and in my oven. Not fit for what it was purchased for and at $89.99 absolutely a rip off . Have contacted Russell Hobbs and look forward to their resolution . Advise anyone who is considering one to look elsewhere as Im dubious about other reviews on the sight . I read them and have been sadly misled . Im 59 and have been cooking for years so am not a beginner .This lack of temperature could be an actual food risk if the right ...
