Congratulations Russell Hobbs. Finally a toaster the will brown 2 sides of a piece of toast!! Sounds simply. Have been trying for more than a year to find a toaster that will do just that. Looks smart in the kitchen, easily stored and does what it says it will do.

Disapointing buy

Terrible toaster - very disappointing. Bought this to replace an old toaster and it cooks worse than my old 20 year old toaster. Doesn't toast on both sides, small slots, not a good toaster. Does have more sturdy buttons than many in the shops. Will be giving to the op shop and saving for a new one.

Easy to clean stainless finish wide slot Russell Hobbs toaster.

This is the best toaster I have seen in the price range. It replaces an almost identical one which I bought approx 20 years ago which is still working but the timer was failing. The wide slots are a good idea as I can now toast the loaf ends- better than wasting them !

Good toaster for 230V mains

I bought this model toaster to replace an older same brand similar model. I learned a lot about these toasters. They carry a rating plate with a 'maximum' power in watts, but quoted for 240 volt mains. In U.K we have 230 volt which reduces the rated surface of the elements on the outside and inside for even bread toasting and there will be a critical mains voltage to get the element at the correct redness for efficiency and long element life. My old Russell Hobbs toaster was about 1000 watts at 240 volts and lower for 230 volts. The outer elements were fairly bright and even, but the inside elements were dull red and patchy. It produced uneven toasting on one side. Some reviews say it burns bread or leaves bread soft on the inside, but on the basis of its power I decided to buy it and would consider electronic heat control for the elements if needed. You can always go down in power, but it's not so easy to go up! On power up after 20 seconds all the element lines had an even red glow (Good). We only toast brown bread and this came out even and o.k on browning setting 3. I suspect white bread may need a lower setting? At higher settings bread could be over browned too quickly on the outside. I don't think I need to reduce its power just yet, but it could be too high with less control and over browning with white bread? Overall I was pleased with this well made, no frills fairly cheap toaster, although I have seen the same models advertised with a lower power rating which I couldn't figure out.

Sceptical but pleased with the product

Bought this product for a change to replace a broken one from another brand. Wasn't sure that it was value for money and reliable at the time, but have since changed my mind. It's easy to uase and clean, and is still working well after 2 years.

Slow Toaster

It’s very slow to cook and the colour is very bright silver not the warm metallic colour as in the picture. It’s a new toaster so it toasts but not what I was hoping for from information provided. We live in the country and I have bought from you online with good results in the past - in this case you didn’t have the one cup coffee plunger that instigated this order in the first place! I was going to contact you to see what could be done so let me know - thanks for asking

The toaster died after 7 months

I bought this toaster 7 months ago and it died now, the problem is the same as with previous toaster, it can not be started.

Toasters

It works well and controls easy. One snag for standard bread only toasts up to two thirds. To get round this turn bread upside down to toast part uncooked. A minor inconvenience.

BOUGHT AS MANY TOASTERS DON'T TAKE STANDARD SIZE SLICES . GOOD QUALITY .THOUGH SIDE FINISH'S AREN'T THAT GOOD LIKE MOST TOASTERS TOP EDGES OF SLICES AREN'T AS BROWN AS BOTTOM EDGES . TIP : WARBURTONS TOASTIE LOAVES ARE GREAT
