The microwave gives a soft effect, which I don't like - the air fryer is the opposite of softness, because it usually produces something very crispy. I also often refresh bread in the air fryer - just soak it in a bit of water and put it in the air fryer for a few minutes, or when its frozen then put it straight into the air fryer - you will get deliciously crispy and fresh bread. While the device is operating, you can also easily check the baking progress - To stop the air fryer, just pull the basket and open it, and the device automatically stops its work. Advantage - versatility. I no longer need a microwave or a toaster in the kitchen. The air fryer often also replaces the oven when I do not need to heat a large space in the oven. It is also of great importance that such equipment allows for healthier cooking - because we can cook food without oil or with a minimal amount of oil.

I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Russell Hobbs in return for my honest review. Air fryers are genuinely something that excite me in my growing age so I jumped at this opportunity. I love the minimal wash up and energy savings! The air fryer was packaged well. It has a shiny black casing with a touch screen display and looks very modern and sleek. I love the overall design and it wouldn’t go amiss in any kitchen. It was easy for me to lift on to the counter by myself compared to my previous air fryer which I couldn’t lift. I like the compactness of it too and would be very beneficial to me having a smaller kitchen. It has a touch screen display with very good responsiveness and a welcome beep on start up. I like the compactness of it too and would be very beneficial to me having a smaller kitchen. It has a touch screen display with very good responsiveness and a welcome beep on start up. I really loved the idea in principle that I could make one basket in to two if I wanted to or opt for 2 smaller baskets and cook two different items and sync them up. It is quiet compared to my previous one which is a great addition. It is lightweight, slimline and very modern. The sections when used as single baskets are ideal for 1-2 people. I started off small with some croquettes with the big basket and they cooked perfectly, evenly and had a lovely crisp to them. I feel the big basket would suit a family of 5-6 and could even fit a small whole chicken. When trying to connect the two sections, they don’t sit entirely flush so doing it by myself was an issue and had to have my partner hold the 2 sections together whilst I attached the part. This isn’t a product for those with lesser fine motor skills. Once fully attached, the baskets do still move ever so slightly and don’t feel 100% secure. The connector for making it a big basket feels very cheap and like it’s going to snap when pushing it down. It doesn’t go on nicely at all and had to make several attempts and keep checking it was actually clipped in. It would’ve been easier to have just one large basket that you could slide a single heat resistant plate down the middle. When I opened the air fryer midway to check on the food, one plate had actually lifted and was tilted at an angle. If the food had liquid, it would have spilt. I did find that when I paused during cooking, it wasn’t obvious it had paused. The cooking sound didn’t stop (the timer did stop however this wasn’t clear until I waited a minute and saw the timer hadn’t gone down). I think the pause function response could be clearer. Overall, this didn’t hit the mark with me as it’s over complicated but it’ll be great to use when hosting and I need extra cooking space. However saying that, it cooked perfectly so it did what it was supposed to so I can’t complain on function-ability. Comparing to other air fryers on the market, I’ve had one from a similar price bracket which is far superior and was minimal effort to use. Convenience is key with me!

First of all, thank you to Influencer for gifting me this air fryer to test in return for my honest review and opinions. I’d been wanting an air fryer ever since the hype began but with my small kitchen and limited funds, I refused until finally I got a lucky streak and was chosen to test this *expensive!!* air fryer. With it costing close to £200, I expected great things. I expected minimal input, put the food in, it’ll cook perfectly and I won’t have to do anything except sit back and relax and wait to tuck into some yummy scran! Unfortunately this was not the case. The instructions are fairly minimal, but I was confused when I first plugged it in and saw all the buttons light up like a spaceship dashboard. In reality, it’s pretty darn easy for the simple things ... MoreFirst of all, thank you to Influencer for gifting me this air fryer to test in return for my honest review and opinions. The instructions are fairly minimal, but I was confused when I first plugged it in and saw all the buttons light up like a spaceship dashboard. In reality, it’s pretty darn easy for the simple things like straightforward cooking and utilising the double chamber function. Now, I don’t know if I didn’t read the instructions fully or if it’s a design flaw, but I placed both items in the drawers when using the dual-cooking functions. This meant my items in the second drawer ended up burnt as they cooked for too long alongside the other drawer. If using this, I advise to place these items in ONLY when the fryer beeps to alert to begin cooking them. The other main flaw is that pretty much everything except fresh cut chips/wedges (which I cut from potatoes) ended up burnt. I followed cooking instructions, even cooked on a lower temp/lower time, and they still ended up burnt, whether it was chips, frozen items or fish fillets (these were more over cooked than burnt as they had foil protection). Nothing I seem to do works. I’ve used the correct oil as stated in the instructions but this doesn’t resolve any issues.Other functions I haven’t figured out how to use yet, but it promises good things such as dehydrating foods which I’m very interested in. It’s also fairly large for a small kitchen like mine and takes up essential side space. The only function I like is that I don’t have to wait for it to warm up like you do with a conventional oven. It’s also fairly quiet when in use (apart from the loud beep function which reminds you to shake your basket to avoid sticking. This can be turned off though). Overall, would I pay nearly £200 for this? Absolutely not. It’s not life changing in any way unfortunately but I’m glad I’ve had the chance to use it and with more tinkering it could become a useful kitchen essential.

Dual basket air fryer
5 November 2023

Overall a good product that is user friendly. I love the option of having one large basket or two smaller baskets to tailor the cook. Whether using the single or dual function the air fryer is super easy to set up and even easier to clean. The plates easily stack in the dishwasher without taking up the entire rack leaving room for plenty other dishes. The baskets are surprisingly quite spacious and can fit plenty of food to feed a family of 4. My only issue is that the draws are front heavy where the handles sit and don’t just good in or out of the bottom. I do prefer being able to tip the contents of the baskets onto a plate rather than having to take each piece out with rings. This becomes time consuming with hungry kids begging for dinner. Excellent, versatile air fryer

This air fryer is a total gamechanger thanks to the ability to use it with two separate smaller compartments, or one combined larger compartment. My previous air fryer just had the two separate compartments with no option to combine them and while useful for family cooking given its large capacity, it meant a whole lot of air fryer recipes weren't possible for me - eg larger items, whole chickens, baking etc. The possibility to have both options in the one machine is wonderful - the perfect solution for cooking for my large hungry family. The air fryer is easy to use - the only slight learning curve was the first time we attempted to join the two baskets together but once you get the hang of it it's quite straightforward. I had high hopes of simplifying my cooking routine as I love that it offers 2 baskets with the option for sync cooking, but it also comes with some drawbacks. The 4.25L compartments can be a real time-saver, especially for those looking to prepare multiple items at once as well as the option for one big basket.I appreciate the sync cooking times feature, which ensures that both compartments cook at the same rate. The 8 pre-set cooking programs provide versatility, making it easy to prepare a variety of dishes. On my very first use, the main part that converts the basket to a single basket broke. Pros:- Takes up less bench space- Sits high off the benchtop preventing hot spots and encourages better air circulation- The shake feature/ reminder is great- Double Basket or Single Basket use. It is fairly easy to change between the two- Synchronised cooking times would have to be my favourite feature. Poor quality, even worse customer support.

Russell hobbs are a devious company. On this product, the dual basket Snappi air fryer, the plastic rails to insert the separators to create 2 baskets, or the connector to create one large basket, are of exceptionally poor quality and break very easily. The real con trick is that Russell Hobbs will not supply spares, even if you offer to pay. The absolutely astounding con trick is, they will not supply a full replacement basket setup, even if you offer to pay! I have the email as proof:"I'm sorry to confirm but the part you're looking for isn't manufactured as a spare. We cannot help you with anything unfortunately."Therefore, a product they advertise at £199.99 is rendered useless because of a stupidly designed and woefully substandard piece of plastic, and ... MoreRussell hobbs are a devious company. I have the email as proof:"I'm sorry to confirm but the part you're looking for isn't manufactured as a spare. We cannot help you with anything unfortunately."Therefore, a product they advertise at £199.99 is rendered useless because of a stupidly designed and woefully substandard piece of plastic, and their negligence, incompetence and dire customer service. The moral, only buy this product if you are happy to waste £200. The conclusion, only buy Russell Hobbs products if you are willing to accept this answer, when things go wrong "We cannot help you with anything unfortunately"!!!

Very handy

It took me a little while to work it out because of the double basket. The extra features confused me at first. But after a good read of the booklet and a bit of time fiddling, I finally felt comfortable with it.I liked that you could make it one big basket too. Though the extra lip of plastic in the middle made me hesitant to do it often. The settings were easy to use once you got the hang of all the features. The 2 small separate baskets made it easy to keep different items separated. Meat and chips in different sides. Would work extra well for people who cook in smaller portions.I did find that all the recipes I did needed longer to cook than the recipe suggested. But overall, I really enjoy using this air fryer and would recommend to anyone who fries food ... MoreIt took me a little while to work it out because of the double basket. Worth it

Even though I already own an air fryer, I was super excited to start using this HUGE Russell Hobbs one!. In comparison to the one I already have (Philips), it has similar functions in that there are preset options, or you can just adjust the heat/time to your liking. Being able to use the baskets simultaneously is good however, not for things like fries, as it ends up cooking unevenly due to the small space, so you’d have to use the connector to join the baskets together for more space. I found that the separate baskets are great for finger foods like frozen seafood, and smaller things like drumsticks. Can’t fault this air fryer much, except the baskets aren’t always easy to push back in.But I would definitely recommend!
