Recently purchased this from Bunnings which is a 100 km drive from my remote property. As soon as I pushed the button it snapped. Returned item next day for a replacement. Got home and identical break happened. Never got to use it. I see the same has happened to others.

Purchased to stop leaking pvc joint. It was messy and difficult to apply. Spray creates lots of air bubbles when applied. Ended not creating a good seal. Water continued to seep thru the pores and air pockets in the seal created by the air bubbles.

Two roofers, three plumbers, an entire new carport and still the leak persisted. Thousands of dollars. Bought this three weeks ago, used it where the rain was leaking in, and it’s totally stopped the leak. I can now walk out of my front door and not get wet!

Like any type of paint or sealers, surface preparation is what really makes the difference on whethe it works or not. I decided to coat the metal roof of my outside storage shead. This all steel building is almost twenty years old and began leaking last winter. I had planned to coat it with "Flex Seal White. The original color of the roof. It is surface rusted in areas, but not bad. Water was also seeping through screw holes. I took a wire brush and electric sander and cleaned the entire roof first. Not heavy cleaning but enough to scratch the surface and get most of the rust and years of dirt and mineral build up off. Next, I used the sealer in white to spray the cracks and screw holes with several light coats, the recommended approach, then I coated the entire ... That's a little more work, but helps to make sure it sticks for a long time. BTW, I also used the grey color to paint the top of my grey spa cover in the back yard. Same approach, and it worked perfectly also and looks brand new now! Great product! Using it to seal some small cracks on the side rain gutters and slide-outs on my motor home. Several light coats always works best in lieu of a single thick coat. Amazing!
I was looking to seal my 12-foot aluminum boat on the seams and rivets where I had slow leaks. I sprayed this sealant on pretty abundantly, and I attempted to use masking tape about 1.5 inches from the seam thinking I could tear it off after it dried to give the seal a more presentable look. I let it dry overnight, but when I went to pull the tape off the next day, the sealant kept stretching and coming completely off in several areas (didn't hold too well too the aluminum). Also, inside the boat, water soon started seeping under the coating as I started to use the boat. I'd sprayed the sealant during the warm summer, so the drying process overnight was during warm temperature.Maybe this sealant might work better for lighter jobs on non-smooth surfaces, but it is ... And don't expect a neat appearance. While spraying, splatter tends to jump at least half a foot away from the intended target. I used a sheet of cardboard to block most of the splatter, but I realized that quite a bit of the spray ended up on the cardboard.Curious if the "as seen on TV" Flex Seal actually performs better?
I am trying to fix my glass window water leak during heavy rain. My glass window has 4 X 5 square panels (within the bigger windows) with aluminium strips separating each panel. In between the glass and the aluminium there is a rubber sealing which I think is the cause of the leak. I could not figure out which panel is leaking. Hence thinking of sealing every panel. Each panel has rubber sealing running along with the glass and the aluminium. Hence the sealing needs to be done between glass and the rubber. My windows is exposed to sun after midday.Do anyone know whether this spray might fix the water leak issue?
I bought this couple months back at bunnings Kingsgrove, used it once for a small pipe crack, anyhow 2nd time i went to use it i found the nozzle somehow fell off and was sitting in the lid. When i tried to re apply the nozzle i realised it actually was actually cracked and made a mess me trying. I dont have the reciept however i been shopping at bunnings since day 1. And would like a replacement considering the tin was almost full.Cheers David Graham
At 67 yrs. old, I can safely say that I have used many hundreds of cans of spray paint in the last half century or so.When using this product there seems to be sufficient pressure in the can to provide a constant even spray until the can gets to about 1/2 empty. Then, regardless of how many times you clear the nozzle or wipe the nozzle clean, the can starts to "spit" the contents out. It is almost like there is an insufficient amount of propellant in the can. This results in an uneven coverage of the area to be covered.I purchased 8 cans for my large project and after using 3 of theses cans, they all have acted the same. This product is probably a good product and if this aggravating spitting could be eliminated, I would have been inclined to give it a better rating.
This is a recurrent problem with this spray can. A shame that rust-oleum keeps producing a deffective product and that bunnings keeps selling it. Plenty o freviews with same issue.
I have used this to seal a number of leaks, under my laundry sink required about three coats. I used it to seal my garage, the join between the brickwork and concrete would leak rain water and pool up on the floor. A few coats of this inside and out after cleaning up the surfaces did the trick. The only leak it failed to seal was under my kitchen sink, but that was water under pressure and it would force through the sealer before it dried.Overall it is a good product if used correctly in the right situation.
