A compact drill, bought for the nm torque which depite having only two gears compared to the top dewaltdrills 3, is still very powerful and light. Disappointed it doesn't come with a belt clip or magnetic bit holder despite having screw holes for one, yet the detachable second handle is very sturdy and has a good securing connection via square steel sockets. Comparatively the dcd989 and 999 have thin plastic gimmicky detachable second handles. Time will tell on durability.
