After having gon through three Karcher window vacs in five years I thought I'd give this Ryobi window vac a go but was quite disappointed.Because it's part of Ryobi's One+ range, it hasn't been designed from the ground up, and as it has a very heavy battery, it's much less manoeuvre than the far better weight balanced Karcher.I think this is the type of product that might well be a decent addition if you already have some Ryobi One+ tools.So back it went after a couple of weeks and I got another Karcher...

Initially I was annoyed as just like the commments below the product left steaks everywhere.However after a bit of testing I figured it was due to the pressure I was putting on the product as I cleaned. Once I just let the product do it’s thing with almost to pressure on my part. It left the windows spotless.Another thing to note: don’t clean on hot days or in the middle of the day. It will leave streaks as the cleaning formula will dry no matter how fast you try to clean.Only draw back is that you can’t really clean the bottom part of a floor length window. But angling the product can do the trick with a bit of manoeuvring.

This is a well designed product. It leaves windows streak free. This product takes any of the 18v ryobi batteries, and so if one goes flat you can simply change batteries and keep on window cleaning. It is quiet and manoeuvrable and most of all it is light and easy to handle. Full marks to Ryobi on this one

I was sick and tired of dirty then streaky windows. So I had to do something about it. Did my homework, looked at my options and came to one conclusion, it was time to buy a window vac.So glad I did, effortless cleaning and streakfree. The built in spray bottle in the cleaner makes it so easy, them a quick once over with the vaccuum and your done.
I used this once on my glass pool fence - it's quicker to use a broom and a squeegee. It MAY be useful on interior windows where you don't want the water running down onto the floor/carpet. It vacuums up the water/window cleaner fluid, but really, I just use old towels along the bottom of the windows to catch the excess on the rare occasions I wash the windows.
I bought this item mainly to clean some glass panels on some pool fencing at my home. Because of the nature of the design of the item, you can only clean down to a certain height above the ground before the body of the cleaner conflicts with the ground. This also is a factor with windows with any substantial window sill. It was obviously meant to be used on windows without these sorts of features, but this is not made obvious.The vacuum seems to work better when used to remove water, rather than the alcohol based cleaning fluid supplied, and when at a specific angle to the surface being cleaned. I discovered this through trial and error. The paperwork that came with the cleaner had scant instructions on how to actually best use the item. I found it hard to remove ... I bought this for both my wife and I for Christmas. She was very doubtful that it would clean our windows, and I was a little bit the same to be honest.However I read the instructions and did exactly what it said, and to our surprise it just worked so well that we were laughing.Then we went and cleaned all the doors and windows in the whole house - only took about an hour.She has taken it to her retail workplace and the owners are so impressed they are buying one as well for home and one for shop.Very happy!!Very
I now have a Ryobi blower, a vac blower, a drill, a Tyre inflater a window cleaner and a 36 volt lawn mower. I love all my appliances and would recommend them to anyone. I have in fact been sprouting how good my new lawn mower is. Great cut, great power and battery life. Love Ryobi.
My goodness, what a huge waste of effort producing this window cleaner. Process requires scrubbing window down first with one separate applicator pad and cleaning liquid. step 2 is to squeegy vacuum the liquid with a separate heavy unit. The vaccuum unit sucked up no water, just behaved like a normal squeegy leaving dirty water trails. So disappointed with you Ryobi. This product should not be on the market at all! Back to the old cloth and cleaner for me. Much easier!
I hadn't done my research and wasn't expecting this tool to come in two parts. However, having overcome this surprise, I am converted. It leaves a truly professional finish and I'm using it on shower screens, mirrors etc as well as windows.
