This coincided with new power switch board and after investigation it would appear that the power surge at start up is enough to trip the newer safety circuit breakers, even though it's on a 15 amp circuit. A good tool but not suitable for newer circuit breakers.

Cant believe these goods are considered essential! Delivered during AL4 to residential address along with an angle grinder.
I can only assume that being made "overseas" means that you roll the dice when buying the product. I can't argue with the bad reviews. If they are not happy, then so be it. I, on the other hand, couldn't be happier. I use the Flexovit Force wheels in it and cut anything up to 10mm SHS. Bought it as a quick go to when setting up the bandsaw wasn't worth the effort. My unit has cut straight as a die for over a year without any issue. Counted the old blades yesterday (I keep them as levelling packers for fabrication) and to date I have run over 70 cutting wheels through the machine and never once had an issue with it.I guess the point here is, mine is good and I love it. But it would seem some are not happy. So roll the dice.
Bought this today and ended up taking it back after 3 cuts. The moment I started it, it had a lot of vibrations. I stopped it and checked to make sure the disk was on tight and there was no preventable cause from the vibration, but I couldn't find anything. I started it again and pulled 3 cuts with it. Very disappointed with the quality of those cuts. The end product was far from square as the blade wandered off as the cut proceeded. I tried a few more times but each cut was equally disappointing. I didn't swap it as I didn't want to have to deal with the same issue with another one, so I can't say if it's the same across the board.I think I'll just stick to my 5in grinder with cutting disk.
This is my second unit of this model, bought from Bunnings. I returned the first as it regullarly triped my safety switch at home. The second unit does the same. I am returning it.I wonder if there is a fault with the product line. And I dont think it is safe.My wiring is relatively new at home, the RCD is working fine. It trips on multiple RCDs/circuits, that will run my compressor/welder/vacumm cleaner/angle grinder without issue.
This is a solid well built saw I have been fabricating steel since 1979. It does perfectly straight cuts l have used it all day long . I really cannot criticize anything. I did my homework on this product before I bought it rest assured .end result ? If you wanna decent saw without emptying your wallet this is recommended from an experienced metal worker / machinist.
bought it second hand, but really happy with it, has grunt,tip for handymen, cutting long lengths stick a level on the work, pack it level, thataways you'll not get a double bevel cut ARRGHHHH!!
