I bought the edger just after Christmas and have used it twice now. It has made my life so much easier as I have quite a bit of edging to do. I also have the 36v lawn Mower, with both items being cordless I have cut my gardening time down and I actually enjoy cutting the grass rather then struggling with cords and petrol. Next purchase will be the line trimmer.

Just bought this along with the 5Amp battery and fast charger. Set it up (easy as) and got to work on the front garden - fantastic. The battery wasn't fully charged from the store (fair enough) so put it in the charger and had a beer. When it was fully charged i did my front nature strip, then the next door neighbours, then the other neighbour (new toy novelty) and still had 75% charge. I must admit i thought it would be OK but it has exceeded my expectations!

I had planned to buy one of these (from Bunnings) for some time. I was in Bunnings one day and a women came into the aisle looking for an edger so I recommended a 36v ryobi edger, which she did buy. So I saved up and bought one for myself.I had it awhile before I got to use it, but it was powerful for a battery-powered tool, and with a 5 amp battery, lasts quite long on one charge. it is recommended that you trim the edges with a shovel or hoe first (particularly with kikuyu grass), then use the battery edger to maintain

Maybe it is the boredom of lockdown having set in, but I love this machine more than I should!Compared to my old 4 stroke edger, this is so much quieter and easy to use.My neighbours love it because I’ve done all of their edges as well!
My favourite purchase - this does such a neat easy job on driveway and footpath edges leaving a crisp professional finish. Much nicer than the standard whipper snipper result!
I bought this recently to replace a quite old 21cc petrol edger. The Ryobi 36V Edger seems more powerful than my old edger, and is very easy to use. Like my old edger I can vary the cut depth somewhat by angling the handle up or down. It cut through some overgrown edges with ease. I'm delighted with my new Ryobi 36V Edger.
Great tool with plenty of torque to cut through the toughest of kykuyu grass, easy to control and battery last for ages even when swapped from lawn mower
If you have not tried Ryobi cordless products I can only suggest you do. I have 18V and 36V power and garden tools and absolutely love them. My latest addition being my 36V Lawn Edger and after wasting time and money on a manual edger and then a corded edger they both ended up on Gumtree and my problems are solved; not to mention the great finish to the lawns. Love it.
I have a number of the Ryobi 36v products, this one was one of the latest.There's been some average feedback on this one as it's not as simple to use as other products in the range.Being able to visually 'see' the cut as you progress is tricky for some and it does take a bit of practice to get used to, but once you have worked it out this product will do the job with ease.In the hands of someone with a little experience, this will do a fantastic job and has all the power you could want to make it happen.You will either use your whipper snipper on an angle or this product. I've done both and I'd recommend this product every day of the week as the best method.Worth every penny if you want that clean edge look.
Love it! Have struggled with rubbish petrol edgers for years. This is so easy, light and manoeuvrable that I now tidy my edges faster and more regularly. I use a 2 Ah battery which is light with plenty of life. Don't read any more reviews just go and buy it!
